बीती हुई ये घड़ियाँ फिर से ना गुजर जाएँ..

उन दिनों टेलिविज़न वालों का अपना अलग रुतबा था. उनकी दोस्ती थी क्योंकि सिग्नल नहीं आने के सब के दुख तो सांझे थे ही, टेलिविज़न के एंटेना के तार भी. उन दिनों टेलिविज़न का एंटेना करीब बीस फुट ऊँचा लगता था, यानी एंटेना अपने घर की छत पर और तारें पड़ोसियों की छतों के जंगलों से बंधी होती थी. इसलिए अच्छे पडोसी बने रहना भी मजबूरी थी.
सिग्नल नहीं आने का 'कोमन डिस्कशन' था और वीएचऍफ़ से यूएचऍफ़ बूस्टर लगवाने की सलाहों का दौर. फिर टेलिविज़न खरीदने की योजना बना रहे पडोसी को 'क्राउन', 'टेक्सला', या लकड़ी के दरवाजे वाला 'ईसी टीवी' की खूबियाँ और कमियां बताने का दौर और यह भी कि टीवी खरीदने जाओ तो दुकानदार से पहले ही खोल लेना की आगे लगने वाली रंगीन स्क्रीन साथ में फ्री लेंगे.
एक और नज़ारा था जो पहले बुधवार की शाम, फिर, वीरवर की शाम और फिर रविवार की सुबह देखने को मिलता था और वह था एंटेना की दिशा बदलने का कार्यक्रम. असल में उन्ही दिनों में एक लो फ्रिक्वेंसी का ट्रांसमीटर शुरू हो गया था जो दिल्ली दूरदर्शन के प्रोग्राम रिले करता था. बुधवार की शाम दूरदर्शन से चित्रहार आता था तो वीरवार को दिल्ली से फिल्म. उसके बाद रात को 'बुनियाद' और रविवार की सुबह 'स्टार-ट्रेक' जैसे प्रोग्राम.
कुल मिलाकर हर टेलिविज़न वाले घर में रोज़ शाम को लगभग एक जैसा सीन होता था, एक मेम्बर छत पर चढ़कर एंटेना की दिशा बदलकर दूसरी और करता और दूसरा नीचे टेलिविज़न के आगे खड़ा होकर चिल्ला-चिल्लाकर"आ गया, नहीं, हाँ, हाँ आ गया, थोडा और घुमा" जैसे सन्देश प्रसारित कर रहा होता..
