ABRSM (j&K UT) delegation calls on Commissioner Secretary Education;submitted charter of demands.
JAMMU,13th Nov.2024.Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh delegation led by President Sh Rattan Sharma calls on Commissioner Secretary Education and presented charter of demands.
In a significant development ABRSM delegation met with worthy Commissioner Secretary Education for early redressal of genuine demands of Teaching fraternity pending since long.ARSM delegation briefed Commissioner Secretary Education Sh Suresh Kumar Gupta about various issues pertaining to teaching fraternity which include; adjustment of newly promoted Master's pending since June this year.It is pertinent to mention here that in the month of June 1029 Teacher's were promoted as Master's but their adjustment is still pending while in Kashmir division adjustment of Master's has been completed and new DPC of 384 Teacher's to Master's has been done recently and further DPC of left out Teacher's is on cards.The lackadaisical approach of Worthy Director School Education Jammu has raised many questions regarding accountability and working of Education department. When the department has completed the process of DPC of Teacher's to Master's then putting adjustment of Master's on halt has no meaning.
The delegation members also express anger over undue delay in identification of vacant posts for Teacher Grade-ll and allotment thereof in the light of Government order No:-20-Edu of 2019 ,Grade-II Teacher's were supposed to allotment of vacant posts for the purpose of drawal of Salary.Expressing deep concern over delay by all Chief Education Officer's of Jammu division puts question mark on the working of education department as various CEOs of Jammu province has not even started this exercise of absorption of Grade-II ,the CEO Doda is one among them who failed to start the exercise.
Moreover ever, ABRSM delegation also demanded conduct of ATD-2024 for which online applications were invited from the Teaching fraternity in the month of August but till date no such order or work has been done to make it reality.
Another important issue of Incharge Teacher's was also discussed with worthy Commissioner Secretary Education wherein delegation members brought into the notice that in 2018 more 150 Laboratory Assistants were promoted as In-Charge Teacher's but their regularization is still pending despite clear direction from Worthy Commissioner Secretary Education to utilize 5%quota reserved for promotion from Laboratory Assistants to Teacher's but nothing concrete step has been taken by the Director School Education Jammu.
Moreover, delegation members also urged Worthy Commissioner Secretary Education for streamlining of departmental promotions periodically keeping in view career growth of employees.In 2014 DPC of Teacher's to Master's was conducted and after a gap of ten years in the month of June 2024, DPC of only 1029 trained Teacher's was conducted which is very less in number. The delegation members shows deep concern over deep slumber of worthy Director School Education Jammu and delay tactics of Education department in addressing the genuine demands of Teaching community.
Meanwhile, ABRSM delegation pressed hard for introduction of new subjects at Higher Secondary level such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Geology, Applied Mathematics, Functional English,Psychology, Tourism, Philosophy, Mass Communication, Computer Science etc for the benefit of future generations.All these subjects are career oriented and competitive in nature and is the need of the hour.
After giving patient hearing to the delegation, worthy Commissioner Secretary Education assured early redressal of the genuine demands of Teaching fraternity in a time bound manner .
