VETERANS DAY EVENT AT MENDHAR

Indian Army in Mendhar hosted a momentous event to commemorate Armed Forces Veteran's Day, paying tribute to the extraordinary dedication and sacrifices of veterans who have served the nation with honor and distinction. The event brought together 35 distinguished veterans from Mendhar Town, underscoring their invaluable contributions to the country and society.

The program commenced with a warm welcome for the veterans, followed by disseminating information regarding various schemes on employment and welfare for ex Servicemen which was well appreciated by the gathering.

The event served as a platform to address grievances and provide guidance on accessing benefits like the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) and Canteen Stores Department (CSD) related issues,SPARSH registration and other grievances.

A tea gathering was subsequently organized for further interaction and mutual exchange of experiences. This platform allowed the veterans to share their personal stories, achievements, and insights gained during their illustrious careers, enriching the occasion with a sense of pride and solidarity.

On Veterans Day, paid tribute to ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces & attended commemorative event presided over by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh ji, at Akhnoor. I bow my head in gratitude to all valiant Jawans, Veer Naris & families of our Armed Forces’ brave hearts.

Soldiers protecting the borders are the guarantee of security and development of the nation. It is collective responsibility of the society to take concrete measures for welfare of soldiers & veterans.

A martyr's house is a sacred temple. This feeling & respect must be there in minds of common man. Admin & society can express their gratitude to those who sacrificed everything for country by fulfilling their responsibilities & ensuring that they live a life of comfort & dignity.
