*36 Bottles of illicit liquor recovered by Police Station Nagrota Jammu. One bootlegger arrested*

An information was received at Police Station Nagrota regarding one bootlegger selling illicit liquor in the Dhok Waziran area under the jurisdiction of of PS Nagrota.Immediately a patrolling party raided the Dhok Waziran area and apprehended one person namely Mangal dass s/o Tara Chand.
During search 36 Bottles of JK Special Whisky illicit liquor 180 ml each got recovered from his possession which he was selling to his customers.
In this regard, case FIR No. 95/2024 U/S 48(F) Excise Act stands registered at PS Nagrota and accused person got arrested.
Further investigation of the case is going on.

*Drug peddler arrested and Contraband recovered by Police Station R.S Pura,Jammu*

Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse under Ops *SANJEEVANI* on 22.03.2024 Police Party of Police Station R.S Pura while on routine patrolling established naka near Bhagwati Brick Kiln Agra Chak Road for checking/frisking. During naka checking/frisking police party found one pedestrian on the way from Agra Chak towards R S Pura. On seeing police party, the said pedestrian turned back and try to flee from the spot. On this police party of P/S R.S Pura successfully overpowered the pedestrian. On preliminary questioning the said person disclosed his name as *Mohd Rashid @ Shidu S/o Nazir Hussain R/o Ward No.04 Simbal Camp Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu*. During his personal search 55.09 grams of banned contraband (narcotics drug/psychotropic substance) was recovered from his possession.
In this regard case FIR No. 53/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stand registered police station RS Pura and investigation taken up.
Further investigation is going on.
People have applauded the efforts of Jammu Police in curbing drug abuse from the Society and acting acting taugh against Drug peddler.
Jammu Police enjoined upon all citizens of Jammu to be aware of drug menace and report any incident to Jammu Police. The identity of the person informing regarding this menace will not be disclosed to anyone.
