Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) hosted a 5-day Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024 recently, bringing together 26 teams from 10 states to tackle real-world hardware challenges. The prestigious event was inaugurated virtually by Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan. The event witnessed the participation of 156 students and 26 mentors, working on problem statements provided by various ministries, including Communication, Culture, Electronics & IT, and Skill Development. Distinguished dignitaries, including MUJ President Prof. Niti Nipun Sharma, Pro-President Prof. Karunakar A. Kotegar, and Registrar Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, applauded the participants for their innovative efforts.
The winners were awarded cash prizes of ₹1 Lakh each. The hackathon highlighted MUJ's commitment to nurturing young innovators and aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a Digital India.
