●Famous painter Virji Sumbali visited Kashmir and drew this oil painting inspired by 'Maharagyi Pradurbhav Mahatmya' in the premises of Kheerbhavani, which was seen and appreciated by thousands of visitors there.
●Jalkund in Petting, called Nag in Kashmiri, I am Maharagyi with Bhuteshwar Bhairav on Nagraj sitting with a horoscope on the lotus and the symbol of Sharda ॐ Shardapeeth on the red clothing symbol of Shakti-Worship. The colour of the waterpool is blue, as the painter saw there yesterday and today, symbolizes auspiciousness. The color of this water pot keeps changing, which people have different meaning.
●In this Jalkund's Daman, there is a meditative seeker, who is the Pandit Tapilu in the past, whose dream had a Goddess and told her the way to find the pilgrimage drowned in the waterplavan.
●Outside Jalkund we enter directly into the narrative of Sattisar when in the far past there was a lake named Kashmir Sattisar whose water was born on the drainage of Kashmir.
●The picture contains various uses of blue which images of the work clearly emerge.
● Congratulations to the painter Virji Sumbali.

As an Artist grounded in my Indic roots, I am fascinated by the Pauranik Saga of Goddess Kheer Bhawani as mentioned in its ancient Mahatmya known as HAHARAAGI PRADURBHAAWA. The motiff of Mata Kheer Bhawani is rich in artistic Menifestations too.Its Metaphor,Symbolic Manifestations, its colour -changing water in SHARADA-OM-SHAPED Spring have always inspired me to express myself in oil-on-canvas medium..
Here at the Shrine of Kheer Bhawani Tulmul , Kashmir today on the occasion of Jeshth Ashtami , SaptRishi Samvat 5100, I feel previleged to do a painting in the premises of Mata Kheer Bhawani .....
