Mechanical Department of KLS VDIT Haliyal organised Industrial visit to its 3rd year students. More than 60 students visited “Canara Plast”, a Plastic Bottle Manufacturing Factory located in the industrial zone of Haliyal. This program is helpful for the development of practical knowledge of the students.

A one day workshop on Electric Vehicle was organized at KLS VDIT Haliyal. Mr. Ganapathi Sodigadde, the owner of Ezon Electric, Bangalore, was present as a resource person for this program. He said that India aims to use fully electric vehicles in the next 10 years. He said that the production and sales of electric vehicles are increasing day by day in India, which will reduce the import of crude oil. He shared his 22 years of experience in electric vehicle field with more than 70 students who attended the event. Also Mr. Ganapathi met Shri. R.V.Deshpande (MLA, Haliyal & KLS VDIT Patron) along with KLS VDIT Principal Dr. V.A.Kulkarni sir & staff.

A specialist doctor’s guidance program for female students was organized at KLS VDIT Haliyal. Dr. Geeta Bammanagouder, Founder of Dharwad Holistic Health Center graced as resource person for the program. Importance of hygiene, good diet, proper sleep, proper exercise and meditation during monthly periods were discussed in the program. More than hundred female students participated in this program organized by the KLS VDIT Women’s Unit.

More than 150 first year students participated in this program organized by Department of Basic Science in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) - Student Chapter & Institutions Innovation Council (IIC).

Glimpse of the Inaugural Function of NSS camp of KLS VDIT Haliyal which was organized at Govt Senior Primary School Kesarolli, Haliyal. The basic objective of this camp is to have information about village cleanliness and hygiene, plastic free environment, beekeeping. More than 60 students actively participated in this camp.

A One-Day Online workshop on the new changes in the law for the personnel of the Karnataka State Police Department was organized on May 17 at KLS VDIT Haliyal. Police Training School Mysore explained about the new changes in the Crime Prevention Act. More than 170 police personnel from Haliyala, Zoida, Dandeli and Kumbarwad actively participated in this workshop.

We are thrilled to inform you all that, KLS VDIT Team had visited KMF Dharwad for possible collaboration for Vibration and Thermography.

We visited the plant and had a fruitful discussion with Mr. N S Kodiyalmath, Manging Director, KMF and Ramesh, Assistant Manager, KMF.

We are happy to share that KMF, Dharwad is collaborating with our team for "Health Monitoring of Rotating Machines" of KMF Dharwad plant.

During the visit team had a visual inspection and found some errors that can be corrected, the same was explained to the team and MD. MD and team are happy to collaborate with our team.
