Aalok Wadhwa is a management professional with 25 years of hands-on experience. Stephen’s College, and an MBA from IIM Bangalore, Aalok started his career with Cadbury’s. He has worked with organisations like Ogilvy, Living Media, and Business Standard Ltd, and headed India operations of global publishing companies including LexisNexis Butterworth and Encyclopaedia Britannica, both in print and on-line media. His experience includes launching new businesses in areas as diverse as e-libraries, publishing and book retail. Pranab Dutta has been a creative and design consultant for more than 20 years. He has worked extensively with leaders in the media industry, both Indian and international. His media clients include Living Media, Time magazine (South Asia), Harper Collins (India), the Indian Express group, the Outlook group, NDTV India, The Hindustan Times, the Eenadu group, Zee TV (India and UK), National Geographic, the Malayala Manorama group, Encyclopedia Britannica
Rakov Kirpal has over 11 years of top-of-the-line IT experience and has executed web initiatives for many leading organisations, including LexisNexis India, Businessworld, Encyclopaedia Britannica, GIZ, Vestergaard Frandsen, PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Gutenberg Communications, UNAIDS India, LPS Bossard, and India Development Foundation. Apart from web development, Rakov has an organic understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and its various nuances. Aardvark is committed to delivering the reading experience to you in the form that you prefer. We will present our books in a number of formats— print, e-books, audiobooks, and any other mode of delivery that may be just round the corner. We love books; we want to give them to you in the way you love. We will focus on books that are intelligent, bold, stylish, and thought-provoking. Authors will range from established names that evoke quality and excellence, to new original voices who push the envelope and deserve to be welcomed and heard. Aardvark will also publish classics from across India and the world, carefully packaged for the 21st century reader. Exciting and reader-friendly design will be an integral aspect of every book we offer. Aardvark will publish both fiction and non-fiction, whether in text or graphic form—original new works, classics and translations. In English and other Indian languages. We are consciously not defining a range of subjects we will publish on—history, biography, science, cuisine, spirituality and so on. We will be eclectic, with high quality as the only inviolable benchmark, in both content and form. However, we should mention that currently, we are not considering publishing academic or technical books.
