Uttar Pradesh gangster Vikas Dubey, accused of killing eight policemen last week, has been arrested in Madhya Pradesh after a nearly week-long chase involving the police across three states. Vikas Dubey was caught in Ujjain around the same time two of his aides were killed in separate encounters in UP. His closest aide, Aman Dubey, was killed yesterday.
CCTV footage showed Vikas Dubey, in a mask, being taken by half a dozen cops.
Vikas Dubey was spotted at a temple around 8 am. A local shopkeeper reportedly alerted the police. When he emerged from the temple, security guards questioned him. "He produced a fake ID card and then there was a fight. The guards got him to the police," said an officer.

In the latest report in the father-son custodial death in Thoothukudi, CCTV footage has emerged, discounting the statements in the FIR lodged by the Sathankulam police.
CCTV footage accessed from a shop, King Electricals, next to Bennix’s mobile shop in Sathankulam, show many discrepancies in the police’s version of events.
As per the footage, the father, Jayaraj is picked up by the police who visited their shop, following which the son is also seen riding his bicycle and heading towards the station.
The visuals shown on the footage completely contradicts the police’s statements where they alleged that on being reprimanded for keeping their shop open beyond the curfew hours, the father-son duo verbally abused the police and started rolling on the road in front of their shop.
The police had also alleged that the internal injuries suffered by the duo were due to their rolling on the ground.
The untimely death of the father-son in Tamil Nadu on June 20 created an uproar in the state with thousands of people coming out onto the streets, demanding justice.
