Honored to be a part of two significant events that highlight the potential and growth of Jammu & Kashmir in vital sectors:

Attended an insightful interaction program on J&K Education Landscape – Challenges & Opportunities, organized by the Private Schools Association J&K as Guest of Honour. Delighted to share the stage with Nasir Aslam Wani - Sogami Sahab, Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister (Chief Guest), and Javaid Riyaz Bedar Baidar Sahab, MLA Pattan (Guest of Honour). Together, we deliberated on transforming the education system and addressing its challenges to unlock opportunities for our youth.

Later, joined another impactful seminar on Aims of Ecotourism Society of Kashmir, as Guest of Honour, focusing on promoting ecotourism in the region. It was a again privilege to share the stage with Nasir Aslam Wani Sahab, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, as the Chief Guest, and Tanvir Sadiq Sahab (MLA Zadibal), as Guest of Honour. The discussions emphasized sustainable tourism as a cornerstone for J&K’s economic and environmental prosperity.

MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah Launches Skill Development Initiative for Gulmarg Youth

In a significant move to empower the youth of Gulmarg Constituency, MLA Farooq Ahmad Shah convened a meeting today with Principal IHM Srinagar to discuss the launch of specialized training courses aimed at enhancing employability in the tourism sector.

The initiative will commence with three-month training programs in Tangmarg, focusing on Food & Beverage (F&B) Executives. The curriculum will consist of two months of theoretical instruction followed by one month of practical training for which the youth will get proper certification from the Institute after completion of the training courses. This effort aims to equip unemployed youth with essential skills, facilitating their entry into the hotel industry.

MLA Shah emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Our goal is to establish a Tourism Training Institute in Gulmarg, fulfilling a promise made during my campaign. This will provide our youth with the necessary skills and experience to secure respectable employment.”

The MLA also announced plans to engage local hoteliers after the completion of initial training batches, encouraging them to hire skilled youth from the constituency. “Our mission is to transform Gulmarg into a model constituency, with a focus on uplifting our youth who have been overlooked for too long,” he added.

This initiative marks a significant step towards creating sustainable job opportunities and fostering economic growth in the region. The MLA's commitment to the youth reflects a broader vision of community development and empowerment.
