ബംഗളുരു യെലഹങ്ക ഫാകീർ കോളനിയിൽ നൂറു കണക്കിന് കുടുംബങ്ങളെ പുലർ കാലത്ത് ഭവനരഹിതരാക്കിയ ബുൾഡൊസിർ രാജ് നടപടിക്കെതിരെ ശക്തമായ പ്രതിക്ഷേധമുയർത്തി മുസ്ലിം യൂത്ത് ലീഗ് ദേശീയ കമ്മിറ്റി. പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി അവിടെ താമസിക്കുന്നവരെ ഒരു ദിവസം രാവിലെ തെരുവിലേക്കേറിയുന്നത് ഒരു നിലക്കും ന്യായീകരിക്കാനാവില്ല. സുപ്രീം കോടതി മുന്നോട്ട് വച്ച നിർദേശങ്ങളെ കാറ്റിൽ പറത്തി കൊണ്ട് നടത്തിയ കൂട്ട കുടിയൊഴിപ്പൊക്കൽ കർണാടക ഗവർമെന്റിന്റെ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ കറുത്ത പാടായി അവശേഷിക്കും. വികസനത്തിന്റെ പേരിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഈ ക്രൂരമായ കുടിയൊഴിപ്പിക്കൽ ഒരു നിലക്കും ന്യായീകരിക്കാനാവില്ല.
ബുൾഡൊസർ നടപടിക്ക് ഇരകളയവർക്ക് വേണ്ടി അടിയന്തിരമായി പുനരധിവാസ പാക്കേജ് നടപ്പാക്കണമെന്ന് യൂത്ത് ലീഗ് ദേശീയ കമ്മിറ്റി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. താൽകാലിക താമസ സൗകര്യം സർക്കാർ ചിലവിൽ ഒരുക്കണം.സ്ഥിരമായി ഇവരെ പുനരധിവസിപ്പിക്കാൻ പദ്ധതി തയ്യാറാക്കണം. മാന്യമായ നഷ്ട പരിഹാരവും ഇവർക്ക് ഉറപ്പാക്കണമെന്നും ഇത്തരം നടപടികൾ ആവർത്തിക്കാതിരിക്കാനുള്ള ജാഗ്രത വേണമെന്നും യൂത്ത് ലീഗ് ദേശീയ കമ്മറ്റി ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നു.

The Muslim Youth League (MYL) National Committee strongly condemns the arbitrary demolition drive carried out by state authorities at Fakeer Colony and Waseem Layout in Yelahanka. Rendering over 150 families homeless in the early hours of the morning is a gross violation of human rights and natural justice.

​It is alarming to witness "Bulldozer Raj" tactics being deployed in Karnataka under the Congress government. Authorities initiated the demolition at 4:00 AM without prior notice or due process, targeting residents who have lived there for over 30 years and possess valid documentation, including Aadhaar and Voter IDs. To cut off electricity days in advance and then bulldoze homes—leaving children, the elderly, and pregnant women on the streets—is an act of extreme administrative apathy.

​This drive, conducted under the guise of development, is nothing short of collective punishment against the working poor. The state has a constitutional duty to protect its citizens, not displace them without alternatives.

​The Muslim Youth League demands the Karnataka Government take immediate action:

1. ​Immediate Shelter: Urgently arrange safe, adequate temporary shelter for all families currently left in the open.
2. ​Permanent Housing: Provide permanent housing solutions immediately to ensure no family remains homeless.
3. ​Full Compensation: Compensate families for the destruction of their homes and loss of belongings.
4. ​Dignified Rehabilitation: Ensure a transparent and humane rehabilitation process for all displaced residents.

​We stand in solidarity with the victims of Yelahanka. The government must be held accountable and ensure that the rights of the poor are not bulldozed.
