*Tragic loss strikes Pattan village, 20-year-old boy dies mysteriously, playing cricket.*

Pattan, Jan 26: A heartbreaking incident has been reported In Hanjiwera Pattan, after a 20 year old boy suddenly dies mysteriously while playing cricket in his village of North Kashmir's Baramulla district on Friday afternoon.

Official Sources Told that a 20-year-old Suhaib Yaseen, known as (Junaid), suddenly collapsed while running to bowl in the playground, Locals rushed to the spot and however tried to evacuate the boy to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

They said that the Preliminary reports suggest that Suhaib might have suffered a heart attack, though there is no official confirmation yet.

An official identified the deceased as Suhaib Yaseen (20) S/O Mohmmad Yaseen wani resident of Hanjiwera pattan, Adding that the body has been sent to a nearby hospital for legal formalities.

Meanwhile The police are ascertaining more facts and a case has been registered, with further details currently under investigation. He added.

The Locals mourns the loss of this young boy and request authorities to provide clarity on the circumstances surrounding Suhaib Yaseen's sudden passing.

Jammu 12 January: Ganderbal District Development Council Chairperson (DDC), Nuzhat Ishfaq, called on Chief Secretary Shri Atul Dullua at Civil Secretariat here in Jammu to project demands of people of Ganderbal district.

Nuzhat briefed the Chief Secretary about the ongoing schemes in Ganderbal district and projected certain demands for the balanced development of Ganderbal district. She also discussed with Chief Secretary certain impediments which were delaying the implementation of several important development schemes in Ganderbal district.

In addition to the meeting with the Chief Secretary, Nuzhat Ishfaq also met with Principal Secretary Higher Education Shri Alok Kumar (Additional Chief Secretary), Commissioner Secretary Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdery and Commissioner Secretary R&B Shri Bhupinder Kumar. These meetings focused on specific issues related to the respective departments and their impact on Ganderbal.

The discussions encompassed a wide range of topics, including the development of educational institutions, infrastructure projects, and rural development initiatives. The aim was to identify areas that require immediate attention and devise effective strategies to implement sustainable solutions.

The DDC Chairperson expressed her gratitude to the LG Administration for their dedicated efforts in promoting the progress and prosperity of the region.

During the meeting DDC Chairperson Nuzhat Ishfaq expressed her gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Administration for their efforts in initiating the four-laning of the Pandach-Manigam Road. She demanded immediate start of work on the ring road.

The DDC Chairperson Ganderbal raised the issue of Central University of Kashmir with the CS and said that the CUK campus is presently working in different locations in Ganderbal, and the construction work at the identified site at Tullamulla needs to be taken up on war footing basis and be shifted to the designated place at Tullamulla. She demanded that locals especially who have donated their land must be employeed in the CUK.

Nuzhat riased the issue of new degree colleges and professional and techanical colleges with Chief secretary and Principal Secretary Higher Education and breifed them about the rigid terrain and topography of Ganderbal district, there is a need of setting up of several degree colleges in the district so that the students donโ€™t drop out after passing their secondary education.
She said by establishing Degree Colleges and professional colleges in the area would be a boost to the education in the district, which otherwise continues to remain educationally backward.

She also retirates her demand of separate women college for girls in the district.

She highlighted the pending approval and act of appropriation , release of funds for the establishment of a Administrative Complex for Tehsil Tullamulla and Tehsil Lar.

She also highlighted immediate release of funds for drugging and remodeling of Tullamulla Nallah. DDC Chairperson demanded construction of Yatri Bhawan at Tullamulla and Ganderbal.

With Commissioner Secretay R&B, She demanded to release the funds for Guzhama, Akhal and other bridges and upgradation of roads. She also raised the work upgradation of roads in Ganderbal district especially in PMGSY scheme.

With meeting with CS she urged him to release the funds for construction of modernised community cm marriage hall near town hall Ganderbal.

She demanded early completion of different ongoing PHE schemes in Ganderbal district. She discussed with him Lari Preng water supply scheme, Badurkund Scheme, Wutlar, Repora , Waliwar , Badampora, Gutlibagh, Khalmulla and other water supply schemes.

Revamping of dewatering station at Shallabugh, Gogjigund and Gadoora and provision of new Ambulances in place of condemened ones at different areas in Ganderbal was also discussed during the meeting.

She also raised with him issue of defunct tube wells and demands bore wells for hilly areas of the district .

Nuzhat, also demanded establishment of Fire Service stations in Tullamulla , Faaq and Shairpathri areas. Sanctioning of Nayabat in Faaq area was also raised by the Chairperson.

Creation and upgradation of transformers and issues relating to the improvement of HT/LT lines, replacement of poles in different areas of Ganderbal was also discussed.

The Chief Secretary and other officers assured the Chairperson that all her genuine demands would be addressed at an earliest and urged her to continue her positive endeavours for promoting a peaceful environment which would enhance peopleโ€™s welfare and enable rapid development.

The CS also stressed the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in government functioning ensuring that development schemes reach the grassroots level and benefit the common people. The CS encouraged the DDC Chairperson to actively participate in the district's governance and engage with the local community to identify their needs and aspirations.

Overall, the discussions aimed to find sustainable solutions and implement development plans that would benefit the residents of Ganderbal and contribute to the overall growth and progress of the district.

*Youth found hanging inside room in South Kashmir's Pulwama*

Srinagar, Jan 10: A youth was found hanging inside his room in Puchhal area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday.

Official sources told News Agency that a 28 years old youth from Puchhal Pulwama was found hanging inside his room at his home in Puchhal.

They said that that youth was mmediately brought to District Hospital Pulwama by family members where doctors declared him brought dead.

They said that the deceased youth was in depression for the past few days as he failed to qualify for the JE examination recently.

They said that inquest proceedings U/S 174 CRPC has been initiated and investigation has been taken upup.

Jammu:President Jammu Kashmir United Movement and Former Legislator Ishfaq Jabbar called on Chief Secretary Atul Dullu to discuss various issues related to public welfare and development projects.

_*JEDDAH: India and Saudi Arabia on Sunday signed a bilateral agreement under which New Delhi has been allocated a quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims for the annual Haj pilgrimage in 2024.*_

_*Minority Affairs Minister Smriti Irani accompanied by Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan signed the Bilateral Haj Agreement 2024 with Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan in Jeddah.*_

_*According to an official statement, a total quota of 1,75,025 pilgrims from India has been finalised for Haj 2024 with 1,40,020 seats being reserved for pilgrims to proceed through Haj Committee whereas 35,005 pilgrims would be permitted to proceed through private operators.*_

_*Pleased to announce the formalisation of the Bilateral Haj Agreement 2024 between India and Saudi Arabia. I, along with Honโ€™ble MoS for External Affairs, Shri , presided over the signing. *DDC Chairperson alongwith JKUM president and Former MLA Gabderbal Received and Welcomed Students of 14th Senior National Softball Cricket Championship in Jammu*

Ganderbal, 6 January: District Development Council Chairperson Ganderbal (DDC) Nuzhat Ishfaq alomgwith Jammu Kashmir United Movement President and former MLA Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar received and expressed their warm welcome to the students participating in the 14th Senior National Softball Cricket Championship, which is set to take place in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, from January 9 to January 13.

Both Nuzhat Ishfaq and Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar extended their best wishes to the participating teams. They emphasized the importance of such sporting events in promoting camaraderie, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the participants.
