*Woman driving in reverse gear dies after car plunges into Chenab, co-passenger injured*
BHADERWAH: A woman died and another was injured after a car they were travelling in fell into the Chenab river near Pul Doda on Kishtwar-Batote road in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
Quoting reports, SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom said that the accident took place after the driver lost control over the car when she was driving in the reverse direction. โThe car plunged into the Chenab river,โ he told Greater Kashmir.
"Both the females were shifted to GMC Doda, where doctors declared one of them as brought dead," SSP added.
Reports said that both occupants of the vehicle were thrown out of the car on a slope before it crashed into Chenab river.
The deceased has been identified as Salma Bano (27), daughter of Sher Mohd, resident of Shiva Doda. The injured, who is being treated at GMC Doda, has been identified as Sumaira Begum (35), wife of Aijaz Ahmad.

*Srinagar boyโs body retrieved after three days from river Jehlum*
Srinagar, Aug 12, : The dead body of a 14-year-old boy who had drowned in river Jehlum in Nawakadal area of old Srinagar city on late Wednesday afternoon was retrieved after three days by the River Police.
A Class 7 student Moomin Rasool from Dal Hasanyar Habakadal drowned in the river Jehlum while taking a bath on Wednesday.
River police had launched a rescue operation to trace the body and today on Friday the body was retrieved from the river in Safakadal area.
*Man killed, his wife critical in Srinagar road accident*
Srinagar, Jul 16 : A man was killed, while his wife was critically injured in a road accident at 90 feet road near Al Khuddam Ahmad Nagar area of Srinagar outskirts on Saturday morning.
Reports reaching the news agencyโKashmir News Observer said that 58-year-old man identified as Farooq Ahmad Wani of Ellahi Bagh and his wife identified as Naseema (55) were critically injured in a road accident on 90 feet road near Al Khudam Ahmad nagar.
They said that both the injured were rushed to SKIMS by locals for treatment, however, Farooq Ahmad died on way to the hospital.
They added that his wife, who is under treatment at the hospital, is said to be critical.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident

Kupwara:- Hailstorm wreaked havoc in many villages here causing extensive damage to apple orchards walnut trees & paddy saplings on today afternoon.

Handwara, Jun 13 (GNS): A 32-year-old woman was found dead allegedly under suspicious circumstances at her in-lawsโ house in Kakroosa area of Handwara in north Kashmirโs Kupwara district.
Reports reaching GNS said that the woman was found dead at her in-lawsโ house this morning. Soon after news about the death of the woman (name withheld) broke, the victimโs family went to her in-lawsโ house. Claiming to have found the woman dead under suspicious circumstances, the family alleged her murder. The family has been protesting since morning at Pachkote Tarathpora โ native village of the victim, demanding a thorough investigation into the โsuddenโ death of the woman.
Medical Superintendent District Hospital Handwara, Dr. Nissar Ahmad told GNS that a post-mortem of the body has been conducted. He however declined to comment further on the issue.
Superintendent of Police Handwara, Sheema Nabi Qasba told GNS that inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated for due investigations into the incident.

๐๐๐ป ```Srinagar,May 18:Traffic headquarters office was partially gutted in a pre-dawn fire at Molana Azad (MA) road in Kashmir capital Srinagar on Wednesday, officials said.
They told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that a fire broke out on the last floor of the Traffic headquarters office this morning. Fire engines were rushed to spot immediately after receiving the information about the blaze.
Last storey of the building was completely damaged in this blaze which was contained after hectic efforts by the fire and emergency men besides teams from SDRF without causing further damage to the office building.
A police official told that the cause of the fire was not immediately known, however a case is being registered and further investigation have been set into motion. Various records lying in the last floor of the traffic department were gutted completely in this mishap, he said, adding that there was no injury to any person in this fire incident.```

๐๐๐ป ```Budgam,May 9:Three members of a family-mother and her two sons were killed after a cloudburst hit a brick kiln in Central Kashmirโs Budgam district on Monday.
The cloud burst struck at โStar-BDB-255โ Brick Kiln located at Chandapora Budgam.
Hospital sources told news that three members of a family from Uttar Pradesh working at a brick kiln were brought to District Hospital Budgam in injured condition after a cloud burst.
The trio including the mother and her two sons died in the hospital shortly after their arrival.
While confirming the death of trio, a doctor identified the deceased as Bure Begum (45), wife of Saleem Mansoor, Qaisar Mansoor (20), and Muhammad Rayees Mansoor (21), sons of Saleem Mansoor.```
