Congratulations Our New MP - K.E.Prakash for your remarkable victory in Erode. Hoping for the betterment of Erode in the next 5 years.

I'm hoping & waiting to see the city fast-pedal its infrastructure & economic growth in the coming decade. My wish list for Erode -

1. Replenishment of rivers, new reservoirs, well-built storm water drains & flood management.

2. Piped water supply for all homes, Drainage connection for all homes & efficient drainage management without polluting rivers.

3. Streets - Removal of illegal parking & encroachments.

4. Wide & well-connected roads with lane systems including space for walkers & cyclists.

5. Facelift of public infra: Integration of various modes of transport, disabled friendly.

6. Need a railway facility, at least a local train from Erode to Gobichettipalayam, Coimbatore to Gobichettipalayam, Tirupur to Gobichettipalayam.

7. Faster completion of the New proposed bus terminal at Solar. The existing bus terminal should be upgraded more with electric and modern buses.

8. More green spaces. Utilize the available space. Bigger parks & gardens in the outskirts where space is available.

9. Create & market tourism.

10. More health infra & hospitals.

11. More jobs - Target to become economic capital (Top 5) in different sectors including IT, manufacturing, sports, entertainment, etc.

In that sense, an incredible performance by MK Stalin led the DMK alliance in Tamil Nadu.

Chennai is all set to become a go-to destination for sailing as the Sports Development Authority Of Tamil Nadu is establishing the Tamil Nadu Sailing Academy and Centre of Excellence at the Cooum River mouth in Marina.

TN Govt has applied for Coastal Regulation Zone clearance for setting up the academy on 2.75 acres of land near the confluence of Cooum at the marina at a cost of Rs 7 crore. It is likely to have a two-storey structure with facilities including a gym, video library and facilities for berthing and servicing yachts.

In the blazing summer heat, green shelters have been installed at the Erode Collectorate junction traffic signal, providing much-needed relief to the public and motorists.

This Green Shade helps at least 15 to 20 two-wheelers to beat the heat while waiting at the signal. The canopy will be installed at other busy junctions and will be in place till summer.

The video shows five elephants that came to a farmland in search of food and water. While two crossed the solar fence first, two could be seen flattening the fence for the calf to pass. The voices of villagers can also be heard in the video where they express compassion for the herd, especially the calf. The lady says "the wire is going to hurt the baby, poor thing!", the pain in her voice, concern for the young elephant... That's what the world needs to become. ❤️

Kerala college student Alif Mohammed (IG/@alif__mhmd__)'s peers are the best example of the saying, 'a friend in need is indeed a friend indeed', quite literally. Alif was born without legs, but his friends Archana (IG/@_archanaarchana) and Arya(IG/@arya__g__) do not let his disability get in the way of his attending college. Alif, the BCom student of DB College in Kollam district posted that image on his Instagram account. His caption read: When you drink water with your wonderful friends even that tastes sweet. His mother Zeenath and father Shanavas, who is working abroad, were overjoyed to see the video and the picture. “For me, life has always been with my friends. I go to college on two-wheelers of my friends. In college, they take me around. This is a routine. They never make me feel inferior. None of my friends have ever looked upon me with a sympathetic look. They treat me as a normal boy and I love that about my friends. This picture is so dear to me,” Alif Mohammed said.
