|| 2nd Edition University Football Championship Wraps Up of RGU with Exciting Finals.
The 2nd Edition of the University Football Championship of Rajiv Gandhi University concluded today with an exciting closing ceremony held at the RGU ground. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Puna Hinda, MD of PH Construction, who attended as the chief guest, and Mr. Tana Dozi Tara, President of AAPSU, as the Guest of Honor. The program also saw the presence of other notable figures, including Mr. Lezen Gyadi, a prominent student activist, and N. T Rikam, the Registrar of RGU.
In the final matches, the Physical Education department showcased their prowess by emerging victorious in both the men's and women's categories, cementing their position as the champions of this thrilling championship.
|| Youth in Gumto circle Conduct Successful Unauthorized Entry Checks.
In a proactive move, Yapa Goya Youth Association of Gumto circle initiated Inner Line Permit checks near the Gumto check post. Their vigilance paid off as they identified individuals who had entered without proper authorization, with the assistance of a local guide.
Numerous others were turned away with instructions to return once they possessed the appropriate permits. Among those scrutinized, the youth also apprehended an individual suspected of riding a stolen motorcycle. All individuals apprehended in this operation have been handed over to the local police for further investigation.

Political Parties Meet Deputy Commissioner on Election Preparations; NPP Affirms 2024 Aspirations.
Representatives from various political parties including National People's Party (NPP) convened for a crucial meeting with the Deputy Commissioner of Papumpare, following a directive from the Chief Election Commissioner of India.
District President of NPP, Rungri Nabam, spoke to the media and expressed their intent to participate in the 2024 Assembly Elections. He also strongly refuted claims made by the BJP, asserting that NPP leaders joining their party were baseless and untrue.

In a significant development in the investigation of the ongoing Pare River drowning case involving a female victim, authorities have successfully retrieved the vehicle involved in the accident on 11/10/23.
Reliable sources report that water flow from the dam located at Jampa was temporarily halted for an hour to facilitate the search operation. Due to time constraints, a nearby JCB was deployed to assist in this crucial operation.
The investigation into this case is actively continuing, with officials working diligently to uncover further details.

|| SP Taru Gussar Briefs on Successful Cannabis Eradication Drive in Mengio and Silsango.
In a press briefing by Taru Gussar, SP Papumpare, he discussed the recent successful eviction drive to eradicate illegal cannabis (G***a) cultivation in the Mengio and Silsango areas of Papumpare on 28th September.
During this operation, approximately 52 illicit cannabis farms were dismantled in two days.
SP Taru Gussar extended his appreciation to the student unions and the local administration. The initiative for this drive was spearheaded by the All Mengio Student Union (AMSU), in collaboration with the Magistrate, Papumpare Police, GBs, members of the public, and the enthusiastic youth from Mengio and Silsango Circle.

After several FIRs were filed at the Doimukh Police Station regarding the theft of mobile tower batteries from various sites, the Papumpare Police, under the supervision of SP Taru Gussar, conducted a thorough investigation and apprehended five individuals involved in the theft.
The accused individuals have admitted to stealing a total of 144 batteries from different locations. During a press briefing, SP Taru Gussar announced that they have successfully recovered 20 of these stolen batteries, while the remaining 124 batteries have already been disposed of by the accused to a scrapper.
The names of the accused are as follows:
Antoni Tamuli, 28 years old, from Lakhimpur district, Assam.
Anil Baruah, 53 years old, from Lakhimpur district, Assam.
MD. Andul Hasen, 35 years old, from Biswanath district, Assam.
Manash Hazarika, 30 years old.
Bhabani Borah, 26 years old, from Sonitpur district, Assam
