#GOOD_FRIDAY | The Catholic community of Diphu town on Friday observed Good Friday by taken out the Stations of the Cross or the Way of the cross to contemplate on the suffering, crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. The Stations of the Cross started from Rongtharve village via Valley View Road and culminated at the Cathedral of the Risen Lord here. Hundreds of faithful joined by priests and nuns participated in the Stations of the Cross.

#KHATKHATI | Karbi Anglong police on Friday apprehended one person with suspected Heroin during Naka checking at Janakpukhuri Tri-junction under Khatkhati Police station in Karbi Anglong District.
The apprehended person has been identified as Ghookavi Chisi of Dimapur. The Seized Heroin was recovered from his car Toyota Urban Cruiser bearing Registration No NL07CB0290 which was coming from the Dimapur side. A total of 26 Nos of plastic identical Soap Cases filled with brown powder suspected to be heroin powder packed in white transparent polythene packets weighing total 294.64 grams were recovered and seized. In this regard a case has been registered.
The naka was set up One sec. U/C Bull Birender singh along with OC Khatkhati and police staff under Supervision Sh. Ravi gill (A/C ) and physical supervision of SDPO Bokajan.

One held with Suspected heroin
#KHATKHATI | Karbi Anglong police on information regarding the dealing of drugs conducted a search operation at Lahorijan Sunday Bazar last night in which one drug peddler was apprehended namely Lathara (43) S/O Lalthanga of Manipur and on search of his bedroom a total of 25 Nos. of identical soap cases filled with brown colour powder suspected to be heroin packed in transparent white polythene weighing 294.92 grams have been recovered and seized.
The operation was conducted by a team of Khatkhati police, SI Romen bordoli with police staff along with one sec. U/C SH. Ravi Gill (A/C)A/20 BN CRPF personnel and physical supervision SDPO Bokajan.
