Commenting on his recent academic experience, Krish remarked that the 11-plus exams were “too easy” and expressed enthusiasm for the greater academic challenges awaiting him at his new school. Reflecting on his time in primary school, he voiced frustration, saying, “Primary school is boring; I don’t learn anything. All we do is multiplication and write sentences all day. I like to do algebra.”

In addition to his academic talents, Krish is an accomplished pianist. He has earned multiple awards and was inducted into the Trinity College of Music’s “Hall of Fame” after completing four piano grades in just six months. Currently holding a Grade 7 certification, he is known for his ability to perform intricate pieces from memory. Krish’s confidence shines during competitions, as he stated, “I don’t get nervous to perform because I know I’m not going to mess up.” His musical talent has garnered him numerous accolades in competitions across West London, where he often competes against and outperforms older participants. | Dibrugarh's BroadArks Foundation and BCPL launched Skill Development program to boost healthcare careers for the fiscal year 2024-25; as part of CSR project aimed at equipping local youth with industry skills

BroadArks Foundation, in collaboration with Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL), has launched the "Healthcare Skill Development Program" for the fiscal year 2024-25. The inauguration ceremony took place at BroadArks Centre, Milan Nagar, Dibrugarh, with representatives from BCPL, distinguished guests, media personnel, and students in attendance.

This initiative is part of BCPL's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed at equipping local youth with healthcare industry skills. The program will offer a comprehensive learning experience, including technical knowledge, hands-on training, and professional skills, to help participants build careers in healthcare.

| The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam, has launched a special recruitment drive to hire 4,669 additional (contractual) teachers for secondary schools. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at https://madhyamik.assam.gov.in starting from 11:30 AM on December 2, 2024, until midnight on December 8, 2024.

This initiative, approved by the government, aims to strengthen the state’s secondary education system. | Dibrugarh Railway Workshop Sports Club emerged as champions in the Uttiya Ganguly Memorial 'B'-Division Cricket League organized by the Dibrugarh District Sports Association. In the final of the T-20 league held at Jalan Outdoor Stadium, the Railway Sports Club defeated Jyoti Morol Sangha by 10 wickets.

Batting first, Jyoti Morol Sangha lost all wickets for 81 runs in 18 overs. In response, the Railway Sports Club reached the victory target without losing a wicket in 10 overs. Railway's J.N. Saikia, who took 4 wickets in the match, was awarded the Man of the Match and Best Bowler of the tournament.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Dibrugarh District Sports Association Vice Presidents Manash Jyoti Dutta and Dipu Ranjan Makray, as well as other dignitaries.

| To accommodate the additional rush of passengers during the Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Teg Bahadur, the Northeast Frontier Railway (NF Railway) has announced the operation of a special train between Dibrugarh and Dhubri on December 4 and December 7 (return from Dhubri).

The special train from Dibrugarh (Train No. 05938) will depart at 7:30 am on December 4 and reach Dhubri at 2:05 am the next day. On the return journey, the train (Train No. 05937) will leave Dhubri at 7:20 pm on December 7 and arrive in Dibrugarh at 4:30 am the following day, according to a statement by NF Railway CPRO Kapinjal Kishore Sharma. This train will pass through New Tinsukia, Naharkatia, Simaluguri, Furkating, Lumding, Guwahati, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, Fakiragram, and Golokganj on both legs of the journey.

Additionally, NF Railway has decided to extend the periodicity of the special train between Kamakhya and Anand Vihar Terminal for four trips in both directions from December 6 to December 29. The Kamakhya-Anand Vihar Terminal special train (Train No. 02525) will now run every Friday from December 6 to December 27. Its return service (Train No. 02526) from Anand Vihar Terminal to Kamakhya will operate every Sunday from December 8 to December 29.

| Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed his willingness to ban beef in Assam if state Congress chief Bhupen Kumar Borah formally requests it. Sarma’s statement came in response to allegations that the BJP distributed beef to win the Muslim-majority Samaguri constituency in a recent bypoll, which the Congress had controlled for 25 years.

Sarma criticized Congress for losing Samaguri by over 24,000 votes, calling it the "biggest shame" in the party's history. BJP candidate Diplu Ranjan Sarmah defeated Congress's Tanzil, the son of MP Rakibul Hussain, in the bypoll.

Sarma also addressed MP Rakibul Hussain's comment that eating beef is wrong. Sarma proposed that if Congress, including Borah, agrees to a beef ban, he would take action and ensure all parties stop offering beef in elections. He emphasized that such a move would resolve ongoing issues surrounding beef consumption in the state.

Currently, the Assam Cattle Preservation Act of 2021 prohibits cattle slaughter and beef sale in areas where Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs are in the majority, as well as near temples or satras.

| Authorities at the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh have refuted reports suggesting that 40 students were hospitalized due to health issues last night. According to official statements, the situation involved only minor gastric discomfort among a few students after dinner, with no cause for concern.

The incident unfolded late last night, around 12 to 1 AM, when a student visited the casualty ward complaining of stomach cramps and two instances of diarrhea. After an initial examination, the student was kept under observation. When asked, the student mentioned that some peers had reported mild nausea and gastric discomfort.

In response, AMCH staff promptly examined all students who were reportedly unwell. Authorities confirmed that none of the students required hospitalization, and all are now healthy and sound.
