HIMALAYAN DARPAN

Sandip Kumar Choudhary, the CEO of the company, has been in charge of the company Darpan Publications International Limited since 1989, when it started printing and publishing business. Sandip was only in Class XI then. From a mere strength of 12 people, today more than 300 people work here. Sandip has a vast experience in printing and publishing business and is today known by almost all in the printing fraternity.

As the nature of the family goes, at some point in time, families tend to separate for further growth and development. Three brothers basically were the directors and owners of the company Darpan Publications and the total business was divided into a. Newspaper Publication b. Newspaper Printing & c. Commercial Printing. Based on the past experience and responsibility, the three divisions were divided amongst the three brothers.

Newspaper division was assigned to Sandip Choudhary who formed a new company by the name Darpan Times Pvt. Ltd. The major revenue of Darpan Publications came from the Newspaper Division. Total Percentage of contribution of Newspaper Sales and Advertisement division was 76% of the total turnover of the company Darpan Publications. So this business was shifted to Darpan Times Pvt. Ltd. Today, Darpan Times contributes to the major business and profitability of the company.

Darpan Times has set up a state of the Art Printing Setup at Sahudangi, Near NJP to print its own newspaper from its internal resources. The aim is to slowly get into Newspaper Printing and Commercial Printing. Sandip has an experience of more than 28 years in this business. Darpan Publications was his dream. While family is above all and one has to sacrifice for younger brothers and the interest, Darpan would not have been what it is today without their support too. However, in due course of time, things changed.
