Pana Sankranti, (Odia: ପଣା ସଙ୍କ୍ରାନ୍ତି) also known as Maha Bishuba Sankranti (Odia: ମହା ବିଷୁବ ସଙ୍କ୍ରାନ୍ତି),is the traditional new year day festival of Odia people in Odisha, India. The festival occurs in the solar Odia calendar (the lunisolar Hindu calendar followed in Odisha) on the first day of the traditional solar month of Meṣa, hence equivalent lunar month Baisakha. This falls on the Purnimanta system of the Indian Hindu calendar. It therefore falls on 13/14 April every year on the Gregorian calendar.

Odisha Day, also Utkala Dibasa, is celebrated on 1 April in the Indian state of Odisha in memory of the formation of the state as a separate state out of Bihar and Orissa Province with addition of Koraput District and Ganjam District from the Madras Presidency on 1 April 1936. After losing its political identity completely in 1568 following the defeat and demise of the last king Mukunda Dev, efforts resulted in the formation of a politically separate state under British rule on a linguistic basis on 1 April 1936.

📍 Raghunath Jew Temple, Odogaon,Nayagarh

Odagaon is known for the Temple of Lord Raghunathjew. It is one of the famous temples in Odisha dedicated to Lord Ramachandra. This temple has beautiful wooden idols of Sri Raghunath, Sita and laxman enshrined in it. The Kalash of the temple is made of pure gold. A popular legend associated with temple states that famous poet of 17th century, Kavisamrat Upendra Bhanja, had composed his magnum opus- Baidehisha Vilas, here at the feet of Sri Raghunath. Ramanavami is the most important festival celebrated here. Odagaon is 26 kms away from Nayagrah (town). It is said that the renowned poet of Odisha, Upendra Bhanja mediated here and attained perfection in the Rama Taraka Mantra. This temple was built around 1903.Tourists can avail medical facility at CHC, Odagaon which is nearest to the place. SBI Odagaon is the nearest Bank to the spot.

📍Hatipathar Waterfalls

It is one of the wonderful spots for the picnic and great tourist place in the district Rayagada of the state of Odisha in India .this falls have a height of 334 meters .this waterfalls give you breathtaking views during the monsoon climate. It draws its name from two words one is ‘hathi’ which means elephant ‘pathar’ mean boulder. Because of the shape of the elephant, it’s got this name. Similipal National Park is also the home of the Joranda waterfall. This place is situated near to Dhanaulti in Mayurbhanj district in the Indian state of Odisha. Barehipani Falls is near to the Joranda waterfall. Joranda is a 19th highest waterfall in India .it has a height of 150 meters. Joranda fall is surrounded by tall trees which gives it a beautiful breathtaking look. The water plunges over a lofty cliff (rock face) in a single drop, spreading out slightly as it falls. Which gives a beautiful look from the top.
