Height of Negotiations
Husband and Wife went to a shop of their acquaintance to buy a garland of currency notes. They ordered for a garland with Rs.1100 worth of currency notes. The husband asked "How much is to be paid?" The shopkeeper keeping regard of his knowing the couple said "Rs.1110/-". Spat came a reply from the wife "Thik kya lagaoge ? Kuch kam to kiya nahin". The bewildered shopkeeper looked at the husband [thinking that he is giving currency notes worth Rs.1100 against Rs.1110 he is charging ..... What else .....]. The husband felt embarrassed, paid the amount and to ease out the situation and make it lighter said "Yeh lady mere saath nahin hai".

The Sales Gyan.
During a Morning Huddle a Sales Leader was asking his team members to stay connected to their prospective customers and insisted a few to go and meet their customers at their residence or offices. One of the team members asked why he was insisting daily for the same. The instant reply was " Sudama was a childhood friend of Lord Krishna and he remained poor till the time he visited Lord Krishna. So if God did not give anything to his friend till the time he visited him and reminded him of his need, then how will the prospect give anything to the Sales person till the time he reminds him of his presence and need ?"
'Treat your customer like a God' is a phrase frequently used in the business circles, so also remember to visit the 'TEMPLE' of the customer to get the 'Prasaad' ........

Hi Friends ! It has been 3 decades since I first stepped into the Salesman shoes. At whatever position I am now, I still find myself selling something and each day landing into a new situation --- this makes my work interesting and makes me look forward to the next dawn. So I can endorse the statement -
"SELLING IS A NOBEL PROFESSION".
The above may be my thoughts but I am sure you all are doing sales at one point of time or another. I am floating this page and would request all of you to contribute some interesting anecdotes or experiences on my mail which I will post on your behalf here. This will make this platform an interesting place to visit, learn, share and relax. This will also be a place to learn for young professionals in the field of business development.
