Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant and assistant coach Pravin Amre were both fined 100% of their match fees, with Amre also handed a one-match ban, following the team's defeat to Rajasthan Royals on Friday. Capitals' pacer Shardul Thakur was also fined 50% of his match fee, for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.
Pant admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.7 of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction, while Thakur admitted to a Level 2 offence under Article 2.8. Amre admitted to the Level 2 offence under Article 2.2.

The prices of petrol and diesel have maintained stability on Friday, March 3, 2022. The oil marketing companies have not increased fuel prices in the country since November 2021. However, the rise in crude oil prices may increase retail fuel prices and could create inflationary pressure, experts have warned.
The Central government slashed the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10, respectively, on the eve of Diwali last year, and since then, fuel rates are stable.
In Delhi, petrol is retailing at Rs 95.41 per litre and diesel costs Rs 86.67 per litre. In India's financial capital, Mumbai, a November 4 cut reduced the price of petrol to Rs 109.98. Diesel costs Rs 94.14 per litre in the city at present.
In Kolkata, the prices of petrol and diesel have remained unchanged at Rs 104.67 and Rs 89.79, respectively. The November 4 decline took the prices of petrol and diesel down to Rs 101.40 per litre and Rs 91.43 per litre in Chennai.
[05/03, 10:40 am] SAM: The prices of petrol and diesel have remained unchanged in most of the cities for three months in a row. In Uttar Pradesh's Agra, petrol is retailing at Rs 95.05 per litre and people have to shell out Rs 86.56 for one litre of diesel.
The petrol price is below the Rs 100 mark in Kanpur and Ghaziabad. In Kanpur, the prices of petrol and diesel stood at Rs 95.23 per litre and Rs 86.49 per litre, respectively.
[05/03, 10:40 am] SAM: The prices of petrol and diesel vary from state to state and also in cities, depending on the incidence of local taxes like value-added tax (VAT) and freight charges. As per the reports, Rajasthan levies the highest VAT in the country, followed by Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
Fuel prices are revised by OMCs like Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum based on international prices in the preceding 15 days and foreign stock exchanges. Any changes in petrol and diesel prices are implemented with effect from 6 am every day.

A 48-year-old man from Mizoram has created a record by becoming the first among Mizos to pedal over 1,500 km in a single cycling expedition to reach Kolkata from Mizoram capital Aizawl.

C Lalawmpuia had set out from his home here on January 26 and reached the eastern metropolis on February 15 evening after recesses in 14 towns of Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, and West Bengal.

The record came barely a year after a 55-year-old man from Kolkata, Parimal Kanji toured the periphery of India on a bicycle and covered over 15,000 km.

While Kanji's mission was dream-driven, Lalawmpuia, who is a businessman from Aizawl city and a father of three, said he has a purpose for his expedition.

Students arrived to attend classes after a break on Wednesday at Government PU College for girls in Udupi, the epicenter of the hijab controversy. But this time Muslim students in students were not alone. Some students arrived with their parents and some hand-in-hand with their Hindu friends who escorted them inside the college.
