🔸 Balrath bus turns turtle at Balli

Digital Goa, Dec 7 – A Balrath bus carrying around 34 students from Balli to Cuncolim United Higher Secondary School met with an accident at Balli today morning after the steering wheel of the bus allegedly got locked. As per eyewitnesses the driver lost control of the bus, fell in the roadside trench and turned turtle. The injured students were first taken to Balli Primary health center, from there they were referred to South Goa District Hospital. 10 students have received minor injuries while two students have received head injuries and 2 more are severely injured as per initial reports

Digital Goa, Dec 6 – Goa govt has transferred 14 Senior Scale officers of Goa Civil Service. IAS officer Polumatla P. Abhishek who is Managing Director, Goa Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC) and holding additional charge of Director of Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, has also been given charge as Director of Transport in addition to his own duties, with immediate effect. Present Director of transport, Rajan Satardekar has been asked to report to Department of Personnel and draw salary against the post of Leave and Training Reserve until further orders.

🔸 2 Mandovi bridges to be closed for maintenance on Saturday, Dec 9 from 6 am to 9 am

Digital Goa, Dec 5- PWD has issued order for closure of the Old and New Mandovi Bridge on Saturday, December 9, between 6 am to 9.00 am (total 3 hours) for the maintenance of the bridge. The closure is needed for recording of deck levels of the Old and New Mandovi Bridge on NH-17(66) across river Mandovi, states PWD .During closure of Old Mandovi Bridge the light vehicles are to be diverted via New Mandovi Bridge (Both Ways) and heavy traffic via Atal Setu (Both Ways). Similarly during closure of New Mandovi Bridge heavy traffic is to be diverted via Atal Setu (Both Ways) and light traffic is to be diverted via Old Mandovi Bridge (Both Ways).
