Give me a 🙌🏻 if you’d like to go here! 😍
This is the very famous Tumpak Sewu waterfall in East Java Province, Indonesia. This might the most surreal waterfall experience you’ll ever get, and you can see why! 😍
While my main agenda in East Java was visiting Bromo & Ijen volcanoes, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to squeeze in some time for this. Took a detour and drove for 5hrs from Bromo to reach here, stayed the night and visited this place early next morning.
Tumpak Sewu means ‘a thousand waterfalls’ in local Javanese language which is kinda true as it feels like multiple different waterfalls flow into one giant semi-circular shaped canyon.
It’s s huge 120m drop and there are multiple view points from where you can see these waterfalls. The area is huge with also access to multiple other waterfalls from inside. It took me 4 hours to explore the entire area.
I highly recommend checking this place out so don’t forget to save & share for whenever you plan your next trip to Indonesia 🤗
