This trip to Lakshadweep was new to me in all aspects.

From monkeying around the mountains in just two pairs of pants and two t-shirts to wearing five cute dresses and the bikini that had been tucked away in my closet for years.

Also, this was the most relaxed trip I’ve had in recent times. Usually, my adventures are fast and wild, but here, I just took it easy and did absolutely nothing.

I’m not usually the one to carry ten dresses to change for every location while traveling, but at least I have changed now. In fact, I have stopped spending on clothing these days, trying to be as minimalistic as possible.

I asked myself, what is it about the sea that we like to gaze into it for hours without getting bored?

It felt nice, but deep down, my heart yearns for the mountains

The best thing about Lakshadweep is that it felt like a visit to a community where one wants to interact and learn. The people here are so nice and warm, and it truly is a paradise in India.

This moment feels incredibly surreal – seeing myself on the cover of a magazine.

I’m deeply grateful for this feature in one of Tamil Nadu’s leading magazines, thanks to the entire team at for making it happen.

The younger version of me would be immensely proud because she worked tirelessly, juggling a 9-5 job and traveling every weekend to chase her passion and dreams. Despite constantly hearing voices saying, “You’re a girl, you can’t solo travel,” “Don’t waste your money, save it instead,” “Obviously you can’t travel after getting married,” “How can you leave your husband and travel,” and “Why don’t you have kids?”

I never had any support all these years or someone to guide me in this field. I was clueless most of the time, and I’m still clueless, but it was just my true passion for travel that has led me to where I am now. I have learned so much along the way, made a few mistakes, but I have zero regrets.

Thanks to Pradeep Elango, the only person who has always stood beside me and who believed in me all these years.

I am beyond grateful to each one of my followers for supporting me on this journey.

I promise to be an even more responsible traveler and will continue to share unique travel stories from around the world.

If you could teleport to any place in the world right now, where would you go?

I will go first 🙈
I have always wanted to visit the Amazon rainforest. (Not just visiting, but experiencing it properly🙈)

Here’s how my last week went by 🫶

1&2. Us five years ago, it was our anniversary last week, throwback pic from our Sangeet Night 🙈
3. Our wedding invitation that we printed ourselves at home, simple & classic.
4. We went to Kolli Hills and did absolutely nothing. Currently, there’s so much pressure in both our lives, and we wanted to take a little break from everything, the funny part was I didn’t even charge my phone.
5. We had the best time at Comic-Con, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
6. Met the sweetest people, Vignesh and Keerthana. So grateful for them to be in our lives. Love you both.
7. That’s me with the Naruto squad.
8. Also met Gowthami for dinner at Pumpkin Tales, and tons of pierogi was devoured ❤️
9. Priority issues, Work, work, work.

Taiwan was my first international destination, and without hesitation, I would go back there again and again.

Everyone asked me why Taiwan, and the reason is simple, my best friend lives there.

He told me, ‘Don’t plan anywhere else, just come here and you’ll understand.’

So, I packed a very big suitcase, as if I was moving there, with everything possible including Maggi, MTR ready mix, and other sorts of nonsense. The worst part was I was vegan at that time, and I found it very challenging there. Sadly, the apartment my friend lived in had no lifts, so he had to carry everything up to the fourth floor every time. He still makes fun of me for it. I spent three weeks there, but we had a lot of fun exploring every corner of Taiwan, and I met so many amazing people. I’m still friends with them to this day.

Call it culture shock or whatever, but this place completely blew my mind. I found the people extremely warm and kind. Until this date, it’s still my favourite place. I have this very bad habit of comparing every place I go with Taiwan (Can’t help it, it has become a habit).

Now tell me, what was your first international destination, and what did you love about it?

My three-week adventure trip in Thailand taught me so much about the country. I had the chance to travel with locals and interact with many wonderful people.

I realized there’s a whole other side of Thailand that many people overlook.

I asked myself, if I weren’t a travel content creator, what part of Thailand would interest me? Definitely the mountains.

You may have seen the turquoise blue beaches, the vibrant nightlife, charming cafes, delicious street food, cabarets, Thai massage, Thai curry, tom yum soup, pad Thai, and shopping.
 Here’s Thailand through my eyes.

Explore the jaw-dropping waterfalls, mind-blowing treks, eco-friendly stays, budget-friendly hostels, authentic foods, and other fascinating stories of people.

Some of these are deliberately skipped places in Thailand by travelers who are drawn to other fancier and more touristy parts of the country.

Using my platform, I want more people to experience places like this in the future.

Here are some of my favorite pics from the trip.

Stay tuned for my reels and stories that I’ll be starting to post from tomorrow.

I just signed my first contract, yayyyy! 🎉

I'm really happy to share this amazing news, I'm now a Decathlon Brand Ambassador.

If you had asked me ten years ago, when I got my first hiking shoes and backpack for the Kashmir Great Lakes trek from decathlon, I would have never believed something like this would happen.

Thanks to my younger self, who had a profound love for hiking and trekking, even though she struggled, she never gave up on what she believed and loved.

My infinite love for mountains, exploring lesser-known trails and waterfalls never ends.

To more exciting trails and adventures.

Hello! 😊

As a person, I am highly conscious about my health. I don't indulge in unnecessary junk food, I prioritise healthy eating 🥦, maintain a regular workout routine 💪, and I'm extremely passionate about my professional as well as my travel blogging career.

To be honest, it's been six years since I've had a fever (touchwood 🤞), but lately, I have noticed some weaknesses in other ways.

However, there are a few things that we don’t often overlook while chasing our goals, which can become significant problems in life. So, I would like to emphasise a few points to everyone here. Although we might already be aware of these, the real question is whether we are actually following them.

Here are some important things to keep in mind:

1) Please make sure to track your daily water intake and aim to drink at least 3 litres of water every single day 💧.

2) Remember to wear sunscreen even when indoors ☀️.

3) Avoid using mobile phones while in bed and try to reduce forward head posture 📵.

4) Regularly check the levels of vitamins and minerals in your body 💊.

5) Strive to get 7 or more hours of good-quality sleep on a consistent schedule each night 😴.

Taking care of these aspects can greatly contribute to our overall well-being. Let's prioritise our health and make conscious choices for a better life.

Update: I will start posting this week. Although I'm not fully recovered yet, I will resume editing for now.

Thanks much for all your messages and support ❤️

With love,
Vanathi.

Hello :)

It’s been a while, many of you know I’m on a short break.

I have a neck injury, and my doctors have advised me of a two-month strict rest & recovery.

I slipped on my last trek, which impacted my neck, and after coming home, I went swimming and injured it more, plus, my b12 is considerably low cause I stopped eating non-veg out of all, I have been pushing myself way too harder, and my body eventually gave up.

I'm feeling sightly better now, all thanks to for taking care of me and giving me all the confidence I need.

Thanks for all the messages you folks dropped in.

I will start posting shortly :)

With love.
Vanathi.
