This is where i met my husband the first time, this where i said him yes, this where we cane for the first date post marriage and so on… so now i make sure whenever i come home, i visit here.

Dosa in any form is my soul food, can stuff on it everyday. This one is an old shot or can say my last shot before k moved to my new place and went MIA totally. I know you must be wondering where i have been all this while.

Hello People | Life Update
After living more than a year in this beautiful house, which we called our home, we had to pack our bags and relocate to a new place.
It was really hard at first, I cried for days because I didn’t want to leave . While we ere dealing with the news, Bangalore’s current real estate crunch boosted our stress levels. Phew!! it was really a crazy month. But thanks to my fam and friends who helped us in all possible ways.
This sudden hustle in life made me realise that nothing is certain in life and u definitely can’t hold onto something for forever, so instead we should start cherishing those happy moments while they last.

Though I am now excited to paint this new canvas of mine, but there is still a piece of my heart which I left there while leaving.

JAMUN (Java Plum) PAANI PURI

Ingredients:
250gms Jamun
5 tbsp Sugar
2 +1/2cup water
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp black salt
1 tsp paani puri masala
1/2 cup Soaked pakodi

Method:
Wash the jamun well.
Add water in the saucepan along with the jamun and sugar.
Boil on medium heat until it turns very soft and mushy. (The flesh should be falling apart from seed)
Now cool this concoction completely at room temperature and place it in the refrigerator.
Once it’s cooled, mash the fruit and the syrup through a sieve over a large mixing bowl.
Add the cumin powder, salt and lemon juice to this sieved Juice.
Mix well add soaked pakodi and ice.

Jamun yogurt:
Take 1/2 cup hung yogurt mix 1 tsp of jamun pulp and wisk. Fill in a piping bag and cover the outer covering of the golgappa.

Fill in the gol-gappa with aloo masala and dip in this heavenly paani.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
In Frame: Mango Kheer !!

I couldn’t think of anything better combination than this for today. My father Ajay Jhamb is a big time sweet tooth and mangoes and Kheer is his absolute love.
Hoping to meet him soon!

Serves: 2

Ingredients:
500ml Full fat Milk
1/ 4 cup 4-6 hours soaked rice and then crushed coarsly manually or in a grinder
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup Mango purée
Few strands of saffron
2 cadamom, powdered
Chopped dry fruits

Method:
In a large sauce pan first boil the rice with milk and cardamoms on slow to medium flame
Once rice is tender (it will take about 30 min) add sugar and keep stirring on slow to medium flame for another 30 min
Once Kheer starts bubbling , add mango purée and dry fruits stir for another 15 min on low flame
Garnish with nuts, chopped mango and serve Chilled

In Frame: Dragon Fruit Mojito!
Bangalore’s weather is making it ideal for sipping a homemade sparkling lemonade.

I am heading to binge watch What about you guys?

Ingredients:
Dragon fruit pureed
Mint leaves
Lemonade (equal parts of sugar, lemon juice, water and a pinch of black salt mixed well)
Soda water
Lots and lots of ice

Method: mix them all and garnish with lemon wedge and thyme sprig. CHEERS

⁣Saturday mood!

Bright colors are life's simple joys, more so if it's in a smoothie jar.
In frame (dragonfruit & mango)

Serves 2

1 cup frozen
1 frozen banana
Coconut water adjusted to desired consistency

DRAGON FRUIT JAM
Jamming on sweet notes

Whenever I go to buy fruits I see burst of recipes in my mind and end up buying so many of them at once and eventually overwork myself to avoid wastage.
Homemade Jams have become my blessing in disguise. They are now my favourite alternative to consume fresh fruits in my breakfast and avoid wastage.

NOTE: You can replace it with any other seasonal fruit like java plum, cherry, strawberry, plum.

Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 25 min
Serves: 2

Ingredients:
½ dragon fruit flesh scooped
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp Chia seeds

Method:
Cut the dragon fruit into 2 halves and scoop out the flesh using a spoon. Take scooped flesh in a mixer/grinder and blend to a pulp.
In a thick bottomed non-stick pan, combine dragon fruit pulp and sugar. Cook on a medium flame and simmer until it has a thick jam like consistency. Keep on stirring occasionally. This will take about 20-25 minutes.
Once you notice that it has begun to thicken, add lemon juice and 1/2 tsp chia seeds to it. Stir well and cook for about a minute.
Remove from flame and allow it to cool.
Store it in a sterilized jar in refrigerator.
