Happy 14th to us 😍!

Its Anniversary! And the cake by summarises my 14 years! Whenever Ashish travels on a business trip, I instantly say: I also wanna travel with you( though I never joined him even once in all these years in business trips😛) we always found time for personal vacations … and till date love planning vacations!

Here is a tentative itinerary :
Day1 :
👉Start from Bengaluru by 7am
👉Stop for Breakfast at Krishnagiri #
👉Reach Gopinatham by 12/1pm
👉Have lunch at Golghar
👉Head for Safari at 3.30/4pm: You can spot elephants, Leopards, Indian Gaurs, Bears & many other birds. You can also visit the Samadhi if Slain IFS Officer
👉Watch a beautiful sunset by the Dam
👉Tea snacks and then watch a documentary
👉Early Dinner by 8.30pm

Day2:
👉Wake upto a sunrise of a lifetime
👉Go for Nature walk inside the forest, do birding
👉Go for Coracle ride in dam backwater
👉Check out after a hearty breakfast, Head to Karnataka side of Hogennakal Waterfalls
👉Enjoy a coracle ride in the falls
👉Have rice and fish curry lunch in nearby shacks
👉Drive back to Bengaluru by evening

Watching the northern lights or aurora borealis is one of the most overwhelming experience, I have ever done. On our recent trip to Iceland in mid October, we got to experience it 5 to 6 times with a KPI index four and five, the intensity was so high that it was visible even to naked eyes.

What is the best time to see Northern lights.?
➡️ September to April are the best months as the nights are dark

Best places to see Northern lights :
Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Greenland, Canada, and Alaska in USA, Russia are some of the best places in the northern hemisphere to catch northern lights.

Had to see ourselves what this hype is all about!
&& on Day 1 of our Iceland trip , Lady Aurora didn’t disappoint

A KPI forecast of 2 ( considered average , only visible in Higher Altitudes near Arctic Circle) was there on Oct 12th , the day we landed.

After Dinner we got the notifications onAurora App, and even though we were dead tired after 23 hrs flight from Bengaluru to Reykjavik , we wore full winter gears(temp was sub zero) and headed for Aurora Hunt in a totally unknown city Reykjavik. Not knowing where to head, we first looked for places with no light pollution but it was in Vain,

Then we headed to what Google maps suggested :📍Northern Lights View Point , Reykjavik and there she was dancing!

Trust me its a lifetime memory for us, seeing it on Day 1 itself, I was relieved that at least n more fear of FOMO,

Our 9 days road trip in Iceland and stay tuned, there is more stronger auroras on the way, few just out of the world!
