Recently, Bachpan Ke Pitare Se was announced as the first prize winner in the second category for the month of February in the Anchor Spotlight competition by Spotify.
I wasn't expecting this for February and one fine morning, I wake up to get this news from my friends on whatsapp. Thank you and to give me the news of this award. Then I read the email from Spotify about this win.

Thank you so much each and every single person who has heard my podcast, has loved it, has been a part if it in any way. I dedicate this prize to all those who contributed for the episodes for 🌈

My first live performance in the presence of such senior Storytellers. I always wanted to do storytelling for adults and the whole world conspired to make it true...😀
Thank you BSS, Bangalore Storytelling Society for creating such a wonderful platform.
All the attendees were welcomed by Lavanya Prasad and Vikram Sridhar. Meera and Shubha were the charming emcees and they beautifully threaded one story to next in a smooth flow.
The first performer was Madhavi Menon (Mysore) who performed a Japanese folktale about a little boy, Suki and a river idol, Yureanna.

Shafa (Pondicherry), a medical college going student beautifully narrated a vision that is more of a wishlist and resilience that puts one together against the world.

Ramya took us to the jungle to a little squirrel and it's monkey uncle who together explore the unknown.

Shailaja ma'am narrated an African folktale about trapping a rhino.

Lakshmi's story was about Finland: si-su , the spirit to withstand, 2nd world war.

Anagha, told us the self-written story of a couple who's striving to be together.

Rajyalakshmi ma'am, fondly called as Raji, narrated how Thumba church converted to India's first rocket launching pad.

Nandita narrated a personal story and drew a beautiful comparison with the qualities of geese who help the lonely goose; how we can draw inspiration from nature.

Tapan sir narrated a story of all the body parts going crazy to prove their importance in pushingforward the human race.

I narrated the story if an elderly lady who scrubbed off algar and scum from turtle's shells and it was her own stange way of making a difference.

This wouldn't have been possible without ny family's support and Neeta Joshi , Neena Girish and my instructor who suggested the final edits to my story, Mr. Issac .

The meeting ended with a group photo of all the Storytellers and listeners😍 and my fan-girl moment selfie with one of my favorite Storytellers, Vikram Sridhar .

We also had an artist, Rohit Bhasi, amongst us who created beautiful illustrations while listening to the stories.
All the good comments, best wishes from friends and family mean a lot. A long way to go, but a beautiful start.

It's such a beautiful coincidence this year that the festival of colours, Holi falls on the same day as International Women’s Day.
I feel nostalgic as I realize that the first episode of Bachpan Ke Pitare Se was published on the auspicious day of Holi, two years back. Littke did I know that I will be continuing to publish more than 100 episodes after the first episode named HOLI STORIES. This journey has been incredible.
