The Bengaluru customs arrested a man at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) for allegedly trying to smuggle 10 yellow Anacondas, the agency said while sharing the pictures. The accused was coming from Bangkok and had concealed the snakes in the checked-in bag. "Investigation is underway Wildlife trafficking will not be tolerated," the agency said on X.

An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police was suspended for hugging Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat candidate K Madhavi Latha on Monday, April 22. In a video, widely circulated on social media, Uma Devi, ASI at Saidabad Police Station was seen shaking hands with Madhavi Latha and hugging her in uniform.

According to reports, the police officer was on duty when the BJP leader was campaigning in an area under the limits of Saidabad Police Station.

Subsequently Hyderabad Police Commissioner K Sreenivas Reddy, suspended the police officer for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

The daughter of a Congress Corporator was killed by her former classmate inside her college campus in Karnataka's Hubballi on Thursday. The accused Fayaz has been arrested.
According to the police, Neha, 23, was the daughter of Congress Corporator Niranjan Hiremath. She was a first-year Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) student at BVB College.
The accused, Fayaz, also 23, was Neha's ex-classmate. The CCTV footage from the campus showed Fayaz stabbing Neha several times with a knife and running away.

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker in Coimbatore was arrested for allegedly distributing money to voters on Wednesday April 17. The man, identified as Jothimani, was" reportedly distributing the money from a tea shop in Coimbatore's Pooluvapatti. After receiving information about the cash distribution, the Election Commission's (EC) flying squad officials searched Jothimani's residence. The officials found and seized Rs 81,000 in cash and several booth slips from him, according to reports.
Coimbatore is one of the key constituencies in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming elections. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has fielded Ganapathy P Rajkumar, who was earlier the Mayor of Coimbatore city municipality. Other candidates in the fray are All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMKY's Singai G Ramachandran and BJP's Annamalai.
Earlier this month, the EC's flying squad had nabbed three persons at the Tambaram railway station in Chennai carrying seven bags and suitcases of cash worth Rs 4 crore. The money reportedly belonged to BJP candidate from Tirunelveli and sitting MLA Nainar Nagendran One of the persons who was caught with the cash was identified as Satish, who is working as the manager of the Blue Diamond Hotel in Chennai. Satish is related to Nagendran and is also reported to be a BJP member. Police sources told TNM that they got suspicious
as Satish and his two accomplices, Naveen and
Perumal, had given a letter to qualify for Emergency Quota (EQ) tickets that was written on Nagendran's official letterhead. Earlier, the trio had taken a room at the Blue Diamond Hotel to receive the cash and pack it in different suitcases.

of the Lok Sabha elections on April 19. The

The Enforcement Directorate has accused Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal of deliberately consuming mangoes, sweets and sugar with tea to raise his blood sugar levels. The agency claimed that Kejriwal, a diabetic, wants to create a ground for bail citing fluctuations in blood sugar level. The court has sought a report from Tihar Jail about the diet chart of Kejriwal.

The attached properties include a residential flat in Mumbai's Juhu presently in the name of his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty. A Pune bungalow and shares in the name of Raj Kundra were also seized.

Mumbai police have arrested two brothers for allegedly ra**ng their 13-year-old cousin repeatedly and impregnating her. In her statement, the girl said the 18-year-old cousin r***d her first, in May. The second accused, aged 22, started ra**ng her in August. The girl said the two would show her pornographic videos and pictures before ra**ng/sexually molesting her.

A single bench of judge Shishir Raj Dhakal of Kathmandu District Court passed the order following the conclusion of the hearings that started on Sunday. A hearing to determine the jail term of the cricketer will take place in January.

Police in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur have lodged an FIR after a revenue officer's wife alleged that he was forcibly converted to Islam and made to marry a Muslim woman named Rukhsaar, officials said. The woman said that her husband Ashish Gupta was having an affair with Rukhsaar. Police said two people, including a maulvi at a local mosque, were detained.
