Like others have said before me: If it's real, I get it. Burn out is real even if your job is playing games all day and you have to take care of yourself. But if you really look at what he said and did, I kind of doubt it's that simple and if he is playing us, he's a world class as***le.

From what we can see right now, this game looks it's trying to replicate a million trends from mobile first, free to play, hero-based, open platform, simplified ARPG and it all feels very much uninspired, uninteresting, and really far from Torchlight's original concept. Why am I putting it here, then? Because I still have a great nostalgia for Torchlight and even though I hated Torchlight III, I really really hope this will be better. I got myself into the playtest and there's no NDA so you could see it on my YouTube channel.

At first glance, this might look like just another action platformer if it tried to be Limbo and maybe They Always Run at the same time, but do watch the full trailer. The level design seems simplistic (which I hope they'll improve on) but I just dig a game with a great movement system and this looks like it.

On the surface, it looks like another civilisation survival sim and we've got a hundred of those (though *I* would always like a hundred more) but it looks like it's fully 3D, very high quality, and mostly registers for me as "What if No Man's Sky was just about building a settlement". On top of that, it's by Haemimont Games. If that doesn't ring a bell, they are the creators of Victor Vran, one of the most original top down action RPGs of the last decade. How will they fare in this genre? I can't wait to find out.

Another heads up: I made an adventure template for you adventure writing needs. It gives you a structure to write your adventure in. Speaking of which, I read some articles on 5 Room Dungeons and it got me thinking. I don't agree with exactly what is described there but it made me rewrite the structure in the template. Check it out here. It's free and you can copy it to your GM Binder and edit it to your heart's content.

Some dumb suck-nugget decided to verbally harass an attendee of the con. The organisers were informed, suck-nugget escorted off the premises, warned not to come back, and officially banned from all future Devcoms. I would also give his details and picture to the convention hall staff and the police but other than that, well handled.

This is a sad story but absolutely relevant and you should know about this: A Twitch streamer is being harassed for being trans and by harassed I don't even mean hate raids on her channel. I mean, they are threatening her, her family, her loved ones, tracking her and doxxing her, and almost got her killed. Luckily, the police is now taking this more seriously and she is in hiding but this is not the way it's supposed to be. Put this out there so more people will know. Knowledge is power.
