Every year in August, the Perseids Meteor Shower attracting many Israelis to the south of Israel to watch and amaze by the great space. This year I went with a group of bachata dancers to watch it and also socialize and dance. It was spectacular.

We watched the meteor shower at "Be'er Milka," a free travelers' camping site, and a town, near Niztana at the north border with Egypt (just south of Gaza Strip).

It wasn't 100% dark like other places in the south of Israel, but it was dark enough to watch the meteors, and with the taking the right path, also no traffic!

Harod Valley

Between Afula & Beit Sha'an, South of the Sea of Galilee, and only one hour and a half from Tel Aviv, there is a beautiful valley where you can find a lot of points of interest like springs, viewpoints, waterfalls, and a stunning old bridge.

All these POI are accessible by car and are perfect for a trip during a very hot day. They are also very close to the Valley of Springs where you can just chill afterward.

Ran Elbling and I began our trip at Ein Izr'ael, a calm shallow water spring. Then we continued with the car to Tel Izr'ael which is a viewpoint over the valley.

Later we continued to the Kantara Bridge ("Most Kantara") where we did some waterfall photography.

Tamrur Cliff to Ein Bokek

A wonderful hiking starting at Tamrur Cliff near the city of Arad ending at the dead sea near the hotel area in Ein Bokek. It's a one-way so you need at least two cars to handle it, or a taxi to the beginning of the trail from the hotels' area.

During the way, we got to see sensational landscapes of the desert and the southern shallow side of the dead sea.

It's a 10km hike that includes some climbing using built-in ladders to climb down into Ein Bokek stream and also walk into the water (shoe level...)

I enjoyed it a lot, it's different than northern hiking trails in the dead sea I which you go inside the creek and here it's more wide and open most of the trail.

Holocaust Monument Rabin Squareit

One of the few monuments Tel Aviv has for the Holocaust memorial. It's a statue made of an upside-down pyramid which gives you the feeling of being in jail without any space once you entered it, but when you look up you see the sky and feel the freedom and the revival.

The artist, Yigal Tomarkin, once asked "What have we learned since building the pyramids in Egypt, 4200 years ago, did force labor and work sets you free?"

In the last two days, I trekked two parts of the Golan Heights Trail.

We began at Meitzar Stream, went through the valley until we got to Meitzar Waterfall, and climbed all the way up to the "Peace lookout point", which we got there just before sunset 😍

We camped near Amfi Golan, built a campfire, had a nice meal, and made a Sangaria with a local wine from the Golan Heights 🍷

On the second day, we start our way north. All the way we had some panoramic viewpoints of the sea of galilee, plantations of different fruits, and wheat fields. we finished our day at Ophir Observation Point.

Last Saturday, I joined a group trip to meet new traveler friends. We began the tour at the "Arbel Ancient Synagogue." We climbed down to the Arbel stream, went through it, and climbed up on a steep road to Mt. Arbel, which included using some stakes during the climb.

At the end of the climb, we got to a stunning viewpoint over the Sea of Galilee!

Then we went back to our cars through a massive field of Wheat during the golden hour! perfect timing!

The whole trip was about 7km, the stream was flowing steadily, a lot of yellow flowers (mustard!) and I had the pleasure to get to know many new friends who will join me on future trips as well!

Thanks טיוליק for organizing this trip.

Tel Adullam - The Glory of Israel

Here you could watch the fight between David & Goliat
Here the Prophet Samuel found protection while living as a refugee from King Saul
Here Judah, the son of Jacob, found his first wife!
And much more interesting stories

This time of the year after (and in between) all the rains, it's also blossoming with a lot of red anemones and purple Cyclamen.

There are many caves you can go and explore and see different mosaics.

It's about an hour east of Tel-Aviv and 30min south-west from Jerusalem.

Maktesh Ramon is the first national dark sky park in the middle east! And what a better way to experience it but with friends during the perseids meteor shower.

In the sky, you can see the Milky way, a small meteor in the top, Jupiter shines bright, Saturn shines from Jupiter's left and the Sagittarius constellation on Jupiter's right.

Today we looked for the Forsaken Airplane at the Protectors Forest.

We started with outdoor style breakfast in one of the picnic areas in the forest and headed to the airplane afterward.

It's a cool location for photographers and a great attraction for kids (keep on safety though!). Originally it was a monument for the fallen soldiers of one of the paratrooper's units.

Once we finished taking some pictures and got some fuel in the car, we surprisingly saw a sunflower field! Without hesitation, we took our cameras and made a photoshoot for my girlfriend 😘.

Acre, June, 2020.

After a long time without an "hike" I get the chance to have a great quality time with my girlfriend in Acre. This time I got to see the creative side of Acre, some street art, some galleries and the little garden at the entrance of Terra Santa School.

Viewpoint over Wadi Gishron.

From this viewpoint you can see 4 countries: Israel (dah!), Egypt, Jordan and Arab Saudi.

The echo from the mountains is great so shout your heart out ;)

To get here, you can drive north from Eilat, on road 12, about 8km, and hike 2km inside Wadi Gishron on the black trail.

This time my love, , joined me for or our first nice weekend in Eilat :) @ נחל גישרון

Israel is a perfect place for a road trip. There are tons of sites to see and the drive from one point to another isn't tedious. In this short video, I visit some unique locations along the way between two of the most popular places to travel in Israel: Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. Some of these locations aren't known too much, even to Israelis. Enjoy the ride!

* I visited these locations on Saturday which is our day off in Israel, in the middle of the week you may have the whole places to yourself.

* Thanks to Ran Elbling & Ayelet Cohen that helped me produce this video and joined the trip

After the street art tour we went to Brooklyn Flea Market which occurs every Sunday under Manhatten Bridge, Here you can find everything through old cameras, vintage furniture and a sitting giraffe. I bought here a nice wood board with new york skyline on it for the "around the world" collage I'm going to make in my apartment.⠀

I love the creative mind of these artists, it may begin with simple tagging, but as they try to be unique and differentiate themselves they begin to make some extraordinary art which inspires me a lot.⠀

She is going to make the first Cinnamon AI

In my recent trip to Sri Lanka, I took a boat safari tour at Koggala lake. It is a big lake which hosts a lot of wildlife. During the tour, we watched monkeys, monitor lizards, and some kind of birds and visited a Buddhist temple and a Cinnamon Island.

On the Cinnamon Island, I had the chance to taste raw wild cinnamon!!! And a local old man showed us the full process of making cinnamon powder through carving the cinnamon stem, drying it and finally to powder it.

I bought from him dried cinnamon sticks, cinnamon powder, and cinnamon oil.

The old man wrapped them with a draft paper, like in the good old days when we re-used used white-paper. I saw some drawing on the paper, some shapes like rectangles and triangles with texts inside them and it caught my attention, it was looking very familiar... then I understood that it is an algorithm on the paper!!! eureka!

Apparently, the daughter of the old man studies Computer Science.

It was not long ago when it was cold in Israel and we even had snow in the Golan Heights. Now all the snow had already melted and all our stream at north are flowing with great water. All around Israel people begins to melt also, as it so damn hot here!😄 ⠀

The summer has just began, and the heat comes with it. ⠀
Most of the trails are not an option anymore, if you don't have a su***de wish. This Saturday we went to visit some natural springs near Jerusalem with my travel group. ⠀
The springs are full with cool water and are perfect place to chill (no netflix though)⠀

This summer we are going to visit more natural springs, more beaches, and more caves ;)⠀
