What's a sound signal flow?
In a mixer, All the tracks are routed to the mix channel. This is how any mixer works.
This means that a sound that is generated on a track, will pass through the mix track to your audio interface that will transform this digital signal into an analog signal, which will then be converted into real sound in your speakers.

Unless you’re a professional sound designer or musician, you probably won’t have an acoustically treated room, so the best place to record is inside a closet or a room filled with furniture. Rags, Closets, and couches are your friends!
Also, remember that closing the windows and turning off the AC is the best denoiser.
A few tips to conclude,
Use a combination of a shotgun microphone and a portable recorder.
Plan out your sound effects beforehand and work out what you need to record and what you will use a library for.
Record in a controlled acoustic environment if possible, but don’t be afraid to capture sounds outdoors for a more authentic feel.
Be gentle with your gain levels, and don’t record sounds that are too loud or “clipping.”
