This evening (Monday) it was announced that five Nahal patrol soldiers were killed in a building explosion in Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip. Eight Nahal patrol soldiers were also seriously injured in the fatal incident.
The fallen are Captain Yair Yaakov Shoshan, 23, from Ma’alot Tarshiha; Sergeant Yahav Hadar, 20, from Kfar Tavor; Sergeant Guy Karmiel, 20, from Gedera; Sergeant Yoav Pepper, 19, from Herzliya; and Sergeant Aviel Weisman, 20, from Puriya Illit. Since the beginning of the war, 840 IDF soldiers have fallen, including 405 since the beginning of the ground maneuver in Gaza.

After a Houthi-launched UAV was intercepted in the south this morning, alarms were sounded in many communities in the Jordan Valley and Samaria following a missile from Yemen. IDF: It was intercepted before it crossed into Israeli territory.

Multiple reports Monday indicated that talks in Qatar for a ceasefire-hostage deal in Gaza had achieved a significant breakthrough overnight, with Israeli officials speaking to several Hebrew media outlets saying an agreement could be close.

A senior Hamas official told the Qatari newspaper Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed on Monday evening that Hamas’ leadership will hold a meeting to discuss the draft agreement being formed for a ceasefire and the release of hostages, adding that “if there is no harm to the essential points for the Palestinian people, the response will be positive.” The Saudi channel Al-Arabiya, on the other hand, reported that the organization has already forwarded its response to the mediators to the draft proposal that was handed over to it, without comment.

The agreement is made up of three phases. The first includes the release of 33 hostages - based on the list that Israel submitted to Hamas, from which Yusuf al-Zaydana, who was murdered in captivity, was excluded. The list includes women, soldiers, civilians, and adults over the age of 50, the wounded, the sick, and children. In addition, Israel will allow residents of the northern Gaza Strip to return to their homes under inspection. On the 16th day of the ceasefire, discussions will begin on the second phase of the deal - in which all the hostages are supposed to be released alive, and a permanent ceasefire will come into effect.

Four fighters from the Nahal patrol were killed this morning (Saturday) in battles in the northern Gaza Strip. This was announced this evening by the IDF spokesman. The four fighters were killed by a powerful explosive device detonated on the force of the deputy brigade commander’s patrol, who was traveling on an administrative route in Beit Hanoun - where the brigade has been operating in recent weeks. Earlier this evening (Thursday), the IDF published data on missile and drone launches from Yemen since the beginning of the war - along with new records of interceptions. According to the IDF, since the beginning of the war, the Houthis have launched about 320 drones into Israeli territory, of which more than 100 were intercepted by the Air Force. So far, two hits have been identified. The remaining drones fell in open areas, did not reach the country’s territory, or did not cause any real damage.

The IDF also said that since the beginning of the war, the Houthis have launched about 40 surface-to-surface missiles, most of which were intercepted. “So far, one hit has been identified in addition to two partial interceptions that led to fragments falling in space. At least six people were injured this morning (Monday) in a shooting attack targeting a bus and cars on Highway 55 near Al-Funduk in the Kedumim area. A few minutes later, a MADA spokesman updated that the wounded, who were declared critically injured, had been murdered.

Initial reports indicated that two critically injured women were found in one of the cars. Another moderately injured woman was found in another car, and three people were injured in the bus - all also in moderate condition, according to MDA. Among the injured was the bus driver, who was injured in the stomach and limbs.

This is a traffic route where many hundreds of people travel every day, and which passes through a village on the way to the settlement of Kedumim in Samaria. Four sirens sounded in the Gaza Envelope within 24 hours.

Alarms were activated last night at 23:11 in dozens of localities in the center of the country following the launch of a missile from Yemen.

An IDF spokesman updated that Air Force fighter jets attacked the launchers last night from which rockets were fired yesterday at the Jerusalem, Lachish and Shephelah areas. “The launchers that were attacked contained a rocket ready to be launched towards Israel. As a result of the attack, a rocket was detected leaving the launch site,” it was reported.

Terrorism in the heart of the country: An 80-year-old woman was murdered this morning (Friday) in a stabbing attack on Holocaust Martyrs Street in Herzliya. 23 bullets hit a bus on its way to Jerusalem yesterday at 11:30 p.m., apparently fired from a vehicle at the Al-Khader intersection.

Yehoshua Aharon Tuvia Simcha (10) was murdered last night (Wednesday) in a shooting attack targeting bus line 291 of the “Kavim” company at the Al-Hader intersection in Gush Etzion - near the tunnel checkpoint in Jerusalem. A woman in her 40s was moderately injured by the gunfire, and two other people, ages 55 and 24, were slightly injured by gunfire and shattered glass. The terrorist, who apparently fired from a passing vehicle, managed to hit the bus with 23 bullets and escape. A manhunt is currently underway for him, and he may be accompanied by other terrorists.

The report of the shooting was received last night at MDA’s 101 hotline in the Jerusalem area at 11:36 p.m. MDA teams evacuated the child and the two injured people, who were in mild condition, from the scene to Hadassah Ein Kerem, and evacuated the woman to Shaare Zedek Hospital. Tonight, Hadassah Hospital updated us on the child’s death, after efforts to save his life.

Shortly after the attack, the police blocked the Begin Highway south of Jerusalem, in an attempt to capture the terrorist. An IDF spokesman authorized the publication that three Givati fighters were killed today (Monday) in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, after an anti-tank missile was fired at them while they were preparing to board an armored truck, on their way to refreshments outside the Strip. 12 additional fighters were injured, three of them seriously, and were evacuated by helicopter to the hospital.

These are the names of the dead: Sergeant Ido Geno, 20, from Yehud Monson; Sergeant Barak Daniel Halpern, 19, from Kiryat Ono; and Sergeant Omri Cohen, 19, from Ashdod.

Earlier, an IDF spokesman authorized the publication that four reserve soldiers were killed yesterday in a building collapse in southern Lebanon: Major (res.) Yevgeny Zinnershein, 43, from Zichron Yaakov; Captain (res.) Sagi Yaakov Rubinstein, 31, from Levia; Sergeant (res.) Benjamin Destao Negusa, 28, from Beit Shemesh; and Sergeant (res.) Erez Ben Ephraim, 25, from Ramat Gan. These are the first casualties to fall in combat in Lebanon since the ceasefire with Hezbollah came into effect.

An IDF spokesman updated that a report was received of a car-ramming attack in the Al-Fawar area, near Hebron, West Bank. The driver of the car rammed the vehicle apparently fled the scene - and a manhunt is underway for him.

Nine people were injured before noon (Friday) by gunfire aimed at a bus at the Gitti-Avisar intersection near Ariel in Samaria (West Bank).

The condition of three of the injured was described as serious, one moderate and the rest light. The IDF said that the terrorist was neutralized.
