THE MOST ANTICIPATED LITERARY DEBUT IN WEXFORD?
He’s a busy man.
Pierce Turner will be launching his story collection ‘Living by the River’ in Wexford Library on the 7th of December at 2pm.
Official launch by Brendan Howlin.

Joseph O’Connor; “Pierce Turner is a storyteller, soul man, poet, heartbreaker, with the voice of a choirboy high on rocket fuel. His songs sound like nobody else's. A true and beautiful and utterly unique artist”

Kevin Barry; "For many a strange moon, Pierce Turner has been creating some of the most indescribably odd and luminous and beautiful music anywhere - he is something close to a national treasure."

Eoin Colfer; “Pierce Turner’s lyricism has had a huge influence on my writing. He is a one of a kind genius poet. I wish I had never heard him so I could listen for the first time. Pierce is the only songwriter I know who has made me laugh and cry during the same song.”

Liam Fay; “Like his songs, Turner’s live shows are spellbinding: his grip on an audience is so tight he leaves fingerprints.”

Billy Roche; “Ray Davies meets Brian Wilson with a little pinch of James Joyce and you have it - the sublime taste of Turner!”

That’s what I like! 🎵

Even more brilliant photos by Jim Campbell that were featured in this week’s Wexford People.

Contributor Jack Edmunds-Bergin from Riverchapel described it as “an amazing platform” and “a fantastic way to keep close to and connect with creators across the south east.”

Award-winning poet Margaret Galvin said: “It’s wonderful to see The Wexford Bohemian growing in stature and achieving the status it deserves as an important literary outlet. This has only come out as a result of hard work, dedication, vision and determination.”

Thank you to Pádraig and to all at Wexford People for the fantastic coverage.

"Since its inception, The Wexford Bohemian has stitched its own name into Wexford’s rich cultural tapestry. It was fitting that the launch of the sixth iteration of the fiercely popular literary journal was launched during Wexford Festival Opera – a time when art and artists take centre stage in the town."

Just some of the exceptional photography from Jack Ó hAimhirgin at the launch for the sixth issue of The Wexford Bohemian last Saturday.

The Bohemian's honorary ‘dulchie’ from Riverchapel-Courtown, Jack Edmunds-Bergin (aka Zimuq) is a sojourning teacher and photojournalist and a community representative on housing and work in North Wexford. As a geography and linguistics student, much of his writing relates to, or compiles, voiced struggles of working- class people in their jobs or as tenants.

We were delighted with the success of this collection, and that it managed to sell out in 48 hours!
