A Measly £30 Bonus Is All British Airways Gave Cabin Crew Who Had to Work On Christmas Day

British Airways was boasting its 'grandest' Christmas for passengers traveling on the holiday, but the holiday spirit appears absent regarding staff. According to Paddle Your Own Kanoo, crew members seeking a special Christmas bonus for those working on December 25th had to plead their case. Ultimately, senior BA managers at the Heathrow base reluctantly acquiesced, begrudgingly offering a meager £30 (US $38) as a special payment for cabin crew on duty during Christmas Day.

It's customary worldwide for airlines to offer airline staff a handsome pay reward for showing up to work on Christmas day.
