It’s been a magnificent mix of turmoil, craic, incendiary live acts, profound new song writers and the occasional fart from our Bulgarian sound engineer Yanko Genov. Alas, this series of Sessions From Oblivion comes to an end today. That said, plans are afoot for a revamped version (it’s a secret but we’ll probably video the acts at actual gigs next time….with an audience, but don’t tell anyone).
Gas that a half arsed idea during lockdown saw heavy hitters Ian Wilson, Lesley Kane, Alba Fernandez, Yanko Genov and Darran Mc Goldrick jump in and make actual TV and radio programmes.
Fitting that we finished with the brilliant Cruel Sister as they were one of my personal favourites. Guest act Realta revealed that music is the cure to mental health and every musicians friend that’s been hosted at arguably the best venue in Ireland (Gleneagle INEC Arena), Fiona O Conner give some tips and tricks about the business of show.
I’ve loved every minute of it.
So folks, here’s the link to the final episode. As always, a share would be nice.
