Back in 2018 we met activists from the Aramark of Our Campus campaigns in Trinity and UCD who were running rolling pickets on campus canteens run by Aramark - a multinational company famous for profiting off private prisons in the US and Direct Provision centres closer to home - at the same time as they serve up scones to the well-heeled of Dublin in Avoca!

Two years later Trinity has decided to cut its contract with Aramark. Direct action gets the goods!

Aramark is a giant multinational with its grubby fingers in all sorts of pies, not least the highly profitable Direct Provision system here in Ireland. But now a growing boycott movement against th…

We’ve thrown some banging parties over the years and coming up this Saturday we have rabble's Final (ish) Ruckus.. It promises to top them all with some of Dublin’s best selectors set to blast the dancefloor in the Commerical Rowing Club.

It’s a deadly little venue with a cheap bar and a smoking area over-looking the river. The perfect place to unwind after what will hopefully be a historic housing demo.

It's the one time of year you can dress up in a sack-cloth, attack your landlord and get away with plausible deniability because he may have seen a ghost.

Suburban Super Cinemas! A small, but striking piece of Dublin’s cultural heritage was sold recently for 2.7 million to an unnamed European family. Rialto’s art deco cinema has lain in a state of disrepair for several years. Patrick McCusker takes a look.

The only indicator it was ever a cinema are its steeped motifs and the fading letters RIALT above the boarded windows and “SOLD” sign advertising its potential to investors. The “O” not being repla…

Ye still there? We're back after a summer silence and putting online. Landlords have been trying to raise the rent above the 4% biannual increase allowed under government rent caps announced last year through sly means. Cases like Paul Howard have highlighted the weakness of the RTB and the complete lack of any body supporting tenants. Sean Finnan investigates.

“There’s a constant effort at balancing the interests. However there are fundamental contradictions in the interests of the tenants and the landlords. The landlord’s aim is to raise rent to make mo…

Occupation in progress down in Summerhill, grassroots groups from around the city have taken over a building that was evicted a few months ago. Over 120 tenants were kicked out of slum conditions by the landlord back in May.

Today we take back Dublin city for the people. A collective of grassroots groups seized a millionaire landlord's vacant property. In may this year, he evicted all the tenants from this row of houses , about 120 people altogether where evicted . Now we took it back
