🚀 Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland was delighted to welcome Minister Catherine Martin, Minister Jack Chambers & Oscar-winning VFX artist Richard Baneham at the launch event for the new National Talent Academy for VFX yesterday.

The new VFX Academy, managed by Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet will join Screen Ireland’s existing National Talent Academies network & provide skills development opportunities for Ireland’s rapidly expanding VFX & post-production sector.

The Academy’s launch coincides with the publication of VFX Ireland’s Charting Ireland’s VFX Future report detailing the current state of the VFX sector in Ireland & solutions for establishing a strong talent pipeline for the sector.

Additionally, the call for applications for the 2024 round of the Animation & VFX Pathways Fund is now open. This fund will further support inclusive opportunities for creative talent from diverse & under-represented backgrounds on Irish animation & VFX productions.
