This year the station returns on the 9th Feb to 13th Feb. Listeners will be treated to an insight into the minds of each wonderful and quirky presenters, a wide range of music to suit everyone's taste (whether it's rock, chart or house), and a whole load of witty banter.

We were lucky enough to have head of the Sexual Violence Centre, Mary Crilly and one of the workers and Applied psychology graduate from UCC Kate O' Connell on today to talk about the prevalence of sexual abuse in Cork and how we can combat the stigma around it. This is coming in late due to internet connection problems last night.
This is it for Griff Fm 2015. This week has been the most fun; it went by far too quickly. Everyone involved did an absolute stellar job. We are all so proud of each other. :)

A massive thanks to those who took the time to listen to a little student station like ours. And to those who followed, liked, tweeted, and Facebooked us. We really, really appreciate those who supported us. :)

So this is it for now. Griff Fm will return again next year, with the fabulous present first and second years taking over.

A Family Had Their 6-Year-Old Kidnapped To Teach Him A Lesson About Being Nice To Strangers

I know we all think our own family is a little crazy, but this family who faked their 6-year old relatives kidnapping to teach him a lesson takes it a bit too far. Suddenly my family seems so much more normal. :P

The family and a man who helped them have been arrested after the four-hour ordeal, which included blindfolding the boy and telling him he would never "see his mommy again."
