Eight of March we celebrate International Women’s Day, which is one of the most important celebrations, as all of us have a special woman in our life. Could be a mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, wife, girlfriend, cousin, aunt or even a close friend. This date is so important, that it is considered one of the biggest holidays of the year around the world.
However, what many people do not know is that the celebration of International Women’s Day started on this day in 1975 and commemorates the tremendous struggle and continued fight for equal rights and opportunities for all women across the world.
Today we celebrate these 45 years of recognition, may we never forget the hard work that many women have put in and are still doing today in shaping a more equal future, with less violence, stigma, stereotypes, and much, more love.
