Another big result coming out of O Donnell park with Sean Mac Cumhaill getting the better of Glenswilly GAA with Oisin Gallen the star man.

Moville GAA Club got the better of Naomh Padraig after a dramatic penalty shoot out in the inishowen derby to book their place in the junior final.

❌ BIG CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND AHEAD ❌

We are in the business end of the season now with championship 1/4 finals, semi finals & even finals taking place on Saturday & Sunday.

Senior Championship-

Sean Mac Cumhaill vs Glenswilly GAA

The young pretender vs the master- both teams will fancy there chances here & it might not be as straight forward as people might think.

Verdict- Glenswilly

Clg Ard An Ratha vs CLG Ghaoth Dobhair

The battle of the Gaeltacht teams, to some ardara surprised Cloghaneely last wk with a big performance & will take good confidence from it- can they do it 2 wks in a row…
Gaoth dobhair haven’t been overly impressive so far & needed a last minute point to beat Dungloe last weekend they are somewhat coming in under the radar in this year’s championship.

Verdict- Gaoth Dobhair

Aodh Ruadh CLG vs St Eunan's GAA Club - Open Page

Apart from the 1st half in the Glenties game st Eunans haven’t got out of 2nd gear on the championship & this will be a good test for them. People go on about ballyshannon been defensive but it’s a system that’s been working throughout the league & 4 wins in the championship too puts them in a good place BUT Eunans should have too much for them.

Verdict- St Eunans

Cill Chartha GAA Official vs Naomh Conaill G.A.A Club

On paper anyway the big game of the weekend. Both teams are well used to playing each other at this stage & after the debacle a few years ago you’d be forgiven for thinking theirs no wild love lost. Glenties aren’t a team that’s going to walk all over the top of anyone but they’ve a style of play now that’s not changed much in 20 years & some would say “if it’s not broke” kilcar are going to have to improve a lot from what we’ve seen so far in the championship to be fit to derail the champions.

Verdict- Glenties.

INTERMEDIATE CHAMPIONSHIP-

Gaeil Fhánada Clg vs Malin GAA

To many Fanad have been the surprise package this year with 2 big results in their last 2 outings vs favourites termon & the buncranna. But they also put up a big fight as expected against Downings & could of got a result their too in the group stages. Malin are going to have to bring their A Game to get a result in this one but maybe the season in D1 will stand to them.

Verdict- Malin

CLG Na Dunaibh vs Clg An Tearmainn

Termon Hold the upper hand here after beating Downings in the group game a few wks ago so they go in as strong favourites not just for this match but the whole competition in many peoples eyes. I don’t expect Downings to be as poor as they were the 1st day so it should make for an intriguing 60 odd minutes…

JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP-

Moville GAA Club vs Naomh Padraig

The big inishowen derby for a place in the junior final… moville have plenty experience & will relish going up against their neighbours down the road. M**f have had a few good years at underage level u16/minor now it’s a question of can they deliver & get into their 1st junior final since 2016

Verdict- Moville

St. Marys Convoy C.L.G. Vs Na Rossa Gaa

The 2 supposed favourites at the start of the year clash at the semi final stage. Convoy were very impressive last day out & will go into this one high in confidence but they go up against a na rossa team who have lost 3 of the last 4 semi finals & with ex county manager taking over the rings this year they’ll be hoping to get into the final.

Verdict- Convoy.

Round 3 Senior championship Ardara vs KilcarSean Mac Cumhaills vs Bundoran Naomh Conaill vs Termon St Nauls vs Glenswill...

Round 3 Senior championship

Ardara vs Kilcar
Sean Mac Cumhaills vs Bundoran
Naomh Conaill vs Termon
St Nauls vs Glenswilly
Gaoth Dobhair vs Glenfin
Killybegs Vs Milford
St Eunans vs Aodh Rua
Four Masters vs St Michaels

Ardara got what they would of wanted, another home game but not to be facing beaten county finalists Kilcar after a late late goal beat them in Milford.

Mac Cumhaills vs Bundoran will be a pretty even tie on paper anyway with both teams fancying their chances. Bundoran buoyed from a good win yesterday vs killybegs. They’ll hope to have a few more bodies back to aid their cause.

Naomh conaill will be happy with a home tie vs termon. The visitors just can’t get a break with Eunans & Glenties in consecutive weeks. They were right in it yesterday up until the last 5min 3 points down they rattled the crossbar & Eunans went up the field & put 1 in the net.

St Nauls will not fear Glenswilly coming to Mountcharles but the former county champions know how to grind out results which showed vs Mac Cumhaills today.

Gaoth Dobhair vs Glenfin in magheragallon will be a battle of the Gaeltacht men & the home side will be confident after 2 relatively easy wins in the 1st 2 rounds but glenfin gave Glenties all they wanted in the 1st round & beat St Nauls today.

Killybegs will be looking to get back to winning ways at home to Milford after two opening defeats the visitors will take heart from beating Ardara in moyle view yesterday after a goal 5 minutes into injury time.

Tales of 97 will no doubt be brought up this week with ballyshannon coming to letterkenny & the visitors will be quietly confident after today’s result vs the county champions of causing an upset in the park.

Four masters vs St Michael’s, after two heavy defeats in the opening two rounds it doesn’t get any easier for the home side with the men from the bridge coming to Donegal town.
St Michael’s will be looking to bounce back after a heavy defeat at he to Gaoth Dobhair.

Days & Times of the games to be announced at some stage tomorrow.
