We were truly honoured to celebrate the remarkable Frances Fitzgerald at last year’s Women of Vision Awards, where she was presented with a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ by An Tánaist Simon Harris TD.

Currently serving as a Member of the Gender Equality Advisory Committee to the G7, Frances dedicated three decades to public service. She was a Member of the European Parliament for Dublin City & County from 2019 to 2024, where she also served as Vice-President of the EPP Group.

One of only four women to have held the position of Tánaiste (2016–17), Frances also served as Minister for Business, Enterprise & Innovation (2017); Minister for Justice & Equality (2014–2017); and was the State’s first Cabinet Minister for Children & Youth Affairs (2011–2014). Throughout her career, she represented two Dublin constituencies: as Senator and TD for Dublin Mid-West (2007–2019) and as TD for Dublin South East (1992–2002).

As she steps away from public office, Frances leaves behind a legacy of compassion, progress, and unwavering dedication to equality. Thank you, Frances, for inspiring and paving the way for future generations of women leaders.
