At the CAO conference last week there was some advice given to guidance counsellors for 2023 applicants.

1. Make sure you fill out on your CAO what exam you are applying under. Make sure you check later in the year that your exam number is on your application and correct.

2. Don’t ignore any correspondence/emails from the CAO. Check everything you are asked to check.

3. Fill out your CAO in Genuine Order of Preference. i.e. list your courses in the preference you want to be offered your courses. The number one course on your list is your very first preference and so on.

➡️January 20th - Closing date for online applications at discounted fee of €30

➡️February 1st closing date for applications

➡️May 1st-Closing date for late applications

➡️May 5th – Online change of mind facility opens

➡️July 1st – Final date for changing your mind about course selections on your previously submitted CAO form
