THE 2025 SUMMER SCHOOL IS NOW OPEN.
Deadline for applications is Thursday 3rd April at 5pm (Irish Time)

We’re offering in-person & online options with a line-up of wonderful writers, and we are happy to announce two new workshop leaders for our online fiction workshops, Ross Raisin and Mary O'Donoghue. Our poetry workshop leader this year is Moya Cannon.

We are hosting two online information sessions on zoom for those interested in applying on Thursday March 20th at 11am.

The launch of Dublin, Written In Our Hearts marks three significant milestones: the 20th anniversary of the One Dublin One Book initiative, 20 years of The Stinging Fly Press and the 31st book published by The Stinging Fly Press.

It's a new anthology of fiction, poetry, essays and memoir pieces in celebration of the city. A programme of events happening throughout April is available on the One Dublin One Book website.

The anthology was launched by the Lord Mayor of Dublin at City Hall yesterday by Lord Mayor, Emma Blain, with performances by FELISPEAKS, Mike McCormack, Kevin Curran, and Caitríona Lally at the City Hall, and speeches from Mairead Owens, Dublin City Librarian, Anne-Marie Kelly, Director of Dublin UNESCO City of Literature and our publisher Declan Meade.

The anthology features work by Kevin Barry, Estelle Birdy, Niamh Campbell, Kevin Curran, Roddy Doyle, Anne Enright, FELISPEAKS, Sarah Gilmartin, Róisín Kiberd, Caitríona Lally, Deirdre Madden, Belinda McKeon, Paula Meehan, Thomas Morris, Niamh Mulvey, Nuala O’Connor, Sean O’Reilly, Keith Ridgway, Peter Sirr, Stephen James Smith, Rere Ukponu and Karl Whitney.

Climate Issue - Invitation to Submit Pitches.

Our Winter 2025-26 issue, which we are due to publish in November, will have a special focus on the climate crisis. We are currently inviting pitches for pieces of creative non-fiction.

We are accepting pitches until March 31st, in advance of the main submissions period in May.
We are keen to read work from writers who we haven’t published before, as well as work from those writers we have been publishing over the years.

Our Online Seminar Series is back this winter. And tickets are about to go on sale. Are you ready? We expect all passes and tickets to sell out quickly.

Season passes, which include tickets for all five seminars in the series, will go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th at 1pm (Irish time).

Tickets for individual seminars will then be released for sale on Friday, January 10th at 1pm (Irish time).

Run online via Zoom, the seminars look to explore writing craft and practice.

Concession rates are available for both full-season and single-seminar tickets.
