Our Story

Checkout is Ireland's top grocery/FMCG publication. In continuous publication since the early 1970s, Checkout is part of the Checkout Publications group, which publishes the weekly Retail Intelligence news service, along with our sister magazine ESM (European Supermarket Magazine). We also hold a number of annual events, including the Checkout Conference (held in Jan/Feb), the Checkout Best in Fresh Awards (July 19, 2011), and the Checkout National FMCG Awards, which were held for the first time in November 2010.
