Hey , here is my "tidy" engine bay.

Currently running a 2.1 stroker kit with the original Ej207 block that has forged internals and closed deck block inserts. All work done by the legend that is last year. Running on 95 Ron fuel with 80% direct port water methanol injection all managed by Elite 2500 Ecu. Mapped by after a few niggles and paired with a Rcm 600 turbo from .

The car took 7 years to get here and was heavily inspired by Super Gramps. Based in Ireland, we don't get 98Ron/E85 fuel that would usually help massively with making good power. My good friend Stephen who has been messing with Subarus for years has been responsible for a lot of the cars development and it was his idea to run methanol injection as he has used it in his old Subaru to great effect in the past. I'll post up details on the power it made next as it surprised us a bit but it took a long while to get it right 😊

A couple of months ago after the Subaru was finally finished with the engine upgrades and mapped by , I got in touch with and booked it in for a few things. It made around the power we were expecting but the best bit was that the response from the engine was significantly improved which is what we were chasing for a very long time.

I wanted to dial in the geo next to suit the set of needs for the car which were: street use, occasional daily driving, occasional track and drag racing for events. Kevin at Division88 was really attentive to my brief and given all the adjustments available on the suspension with all the aftermarket parts thaf were added over the years, took the car and worked on it while I was away. To say he's a complete professional with years of experience behind him would be an understatement as the end result was beyond my expectations. The car was completely transformed and while it was with him, he installed a rear chassis brace and engine and transmission mounts which helped massively reduce the slop when shifting.

The car was on track at Mondello soon after and the significant improvements were clearly evident. It really suited my driving style and some other issues became apparent (worn out power steering pump being the main one). It was an excellent outing even though the weather was dire in the afternoon. Got some amazing pictures taken by the super talented which was the cherry on top. I shall post these next.

A big thanks to everyone who's supported this build over the years as it took about 7 years to get to this version and especially to my very understanding wife, who I managed to convince in the end to come for a few laps with me around Mondello. For this, it was all worth the effort 😉
