Not a bad bunch of books to end 2024 with, if we do say so ourselves!

It has been an amazing year for us at Lilliput and we couldn't have done it without our incredible authors and readers - a huge thank you to you all for making 2024 so special 🌟🎄

We had a brilliant time launching John Montague: A Poet's Life by Adrian Frazier last week in Garvaghey. It was a homecoming for Montague, and it was lovely to see old friends and family of his there.

Thank you to everyone who attended, to the Tyrone GAA Centre for hosting us, and to Brian Gormley for launching the book.

Sad farewell to a dear Lilliput author Judith Mok, who died on the morning of Monday 26th with her husband writer Michael O’Loughlin keeping vigil. She was a doughty soul and personality, who bore her cancer fearlessly.

Her book The State of Dark, on Holland’s Holocaust victims that numbered hundreds of her family members, shone a necessary light on her home country during the war - a radiance that extended to her career as singer and performer. It was launched by John Banville at Dublin’s Museum of Modern Literature in the summer of 2022 and constitutes her greatest legacy in bearing witness to the horrors of our recent past.

Our thoughts with Michael and their daughter Saar. And gratitude for the example of a life fully lived.
