When you read the article, it seems that Apple is just selling off old stock, but it does highlight that Apple is losing the plot when it comes to selling phones.... I teach mobile video storytelling on both Android and iPhone, and while the apps and camera capabilities are a bit better on Apple (and I am an Apple user!), the prices are way too high for the newer models for most of us. It would be great news if in fact Apple were to bring back their mid priced range of phones... any chance of keeping the headphone jack too please?
Apple has quietly resumed selling its cheap and popular iPhone SE amid a slump in the sales of more expensive models. The SE was the company’s cheapest phone and had been ditched in September last...
Here's my pop up podcast interview with Ronan Cavanagh of Cavanagh Communications, from our Forty Foot BNI recording at last week's meeting. This was recorded on a Zoom H4n and uploaded to Podbean - a terrific way to share content.

Ronan told the group about his business and his philosophy on life. I recorded the interview to (a) help Ronan communicate his....
Happy New Year and here's to a great 2019 to my fellow media producers - in video, audio and words. Here's to great days of sharing content, tips and expertise, while making a decent living from it. I am lucky to live beside the most beautiful coastal environment in south Dublin, a combination of friendly village atmospheres and stunning natural scenery. A highlight of 2018 was moving my growing business to Blackrock Village in February, where I don't make enough of the beautiful coastline walks. So a resolution on this last day of 2018: take to the fresh air more often and enjoy. Here's just one photo from beside the DART station at Blackrock taken last autumn.

“Where do you start?” That’s often the first thing I ask myself when beginning on a production - whether it’s a short video, a podcast or a media content strategy.

It's a short video made in the nearby park, using our own microphone and tripod especially for mobile phones, and our great app for editing - adding text, voiceover, transitions and music. Ideal for beginners, and those who don't have time or big bucks to make commercial videos but could really use short social video for marketing their stories, events or businesses.

We imported some smartphone photos from our phone, added a logo, edited in Filmora and added a soundtrack from the software.. we'll be doing a full blog review of the Filmora Wondershare video editing software shortly.
