We aim to champion bands that are overlooked by and undervalued by the mainstream media machine, while still paying homage to the iconic bands and artists who laid and developed the groundwork for today’s emerging talent. ablished relationships with many influential alternative record labels (Exploding in Sound, Pelagic Records, The Flenser), developed an engaged and enthusiastic readership, and had numerous articles about the gifted bands we cover cited by the likes of NPR, Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, and Brooklyn Vegan. With writers based across the UK, Ireland and further afield, Overblown’s influence is growing, and becoming a vital source for people searching out exciting new alternative music.
