"Davido is very humble, like the way Davido is sometimes I wonder if he just does music for charity. He doesn't do music for the money, he does it because it's his passion.

When Davido contacted me and told me that he wanted to collaborate with me, I didn't tell anyone.

I felt like it was dream and something could happen and Davido will change his mind. Even my family only got to know about the feature only when Davido announced it.

And we went ahead and released the song and it became one of the biggest hits of my entire career. A lot of people only got to know me and listen to my music because of Davido.

But do you know what shocked me the most? It was when Davido's manager sent me the split-sheet of "Kante" and I noticed that instead of the 50/50 deal we had initially, Davido had given me 100% rights to the song.

I remember one of my first movies where I was cast as a maid, but the only thing I did throughout the movie was serve food and clean the tables without a single line.

At some point, I thought of quitting to sell clothes (okrika) in Onitsha, which I actually started, but I later returned to Nollywood before acting Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, which became my breakthrough.
