My social media management business has been booming lately (thank you all so much for your support! 🙏), I’m currently at capacity with my amazing clients. While I can’t take on any new clients right now, I’m still here, working on content for my clients and ensuring they get the best service possible. So you want to know what it’s like working with a VA like me? ⬇️

I like to keep processes as simple and easy as possible for my clients. I know you don’t have lots of time to be reading through pages and pages…

1. I invite you to jump on a FREE 30 min call to get to know each other and learn some more about your business, making sure our values are aligned.

2. Once we decide to go ahead, I will send you a contract to sign so we can begin our journey working together.

3. I like to send all of my clients a welcome pack with all details needed for a successful partnership- contact info, payment info, file sharing, passwords etc!

4. I will share a OneDrive folder with you which will store everything in one place, keeping it nice and organised! (I’m an organised freak 🤩)

5. Once we are both ready for our first day working together, I will organise a quick onboarding call to get logins and everything sorted (this saves a lot of over and back!!)

6. With each of my clients I set out a 15 minute call at the beginning of every week to keep up to date and plan our week. This gives you a chance to ask any questions you may have 😄

Changing from what I always looked at as my long term career as a tutor…

One thing I never focused on was the amount of transferable skills I have.

That goes for every job… you can take your skills and abilities in so many different directions.

5 things that were at the top of my list were:

1. I am an effective communicator. 🗣️
I have learned I am clear and concise when it comes to communication. This skill translates seamlessly into virtual assistance. This ensuring smooth interaction with clients and I believe it is key to success when working with business owners.

2. I am an organised freak 👌🏼
Teaching demands a never ending amount of planning and organisation, skills that effortlessly transfer to managing tasks, schedules, and projects as a virtual assistant. I like to think that I thrive in maintaining order and structure.

3. Quick to adapt ✅
In a classroom it was important to be able to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs. This transfers so well into the VA world, as it’s really valuable to be to be able to adapt quickly to a business and help them with their struggles as soon as!

4. I am a quick problem-solver 🧩
Coming up against challenges in the beauty industry required creative problem-solving. This skill now helps me a lot in finding effective solutions to any issues that may arise in the world of virtual assistance.

5. My attention to details is 👌🏼
Precision is absolutely paramount in beauty therapy, and this attention to detail seamlessly carries over into my role as a virtual assistant / social media manager. I ensure accuracy in tasks, content creation, project management etc - providing reliable and high-quality work.

As a business owner and you want to ensure you reach a wider audience and grow your business to its potential then here is what you need to do:

👉🏼 You need to start by switching your Instagram account to a professional account.

“What’s that and how do I do that?” 🤔

Follow the following steps: ↙️

1️⃣ Go to your profile and tap Settings and Privacy in the top right-hand corner.

2️⃣ Then tap Account type and Tools.

3️⃣ Next tap switch to a professional account.

4️⃣Then you need to select a category for your business.

5️⃣ Press OK to confirm!

👉🏼 By following this step-by-step and switching to a professional account you will have access to more information such as insights and tools that will enable you to grow your business.

Listen Up!….📣

I understand that your day doesn't end after all of your clients or treatments are completed and your staff are heading home for the evening.

I myself understand - the tasks you have to do to keep your business afloat is overwhelming. I’ve been there!

After treatments you're doing things like Admin, managing the appointment system, writing bills and invoices, having client records up to date, dealing with paperwork, sorting stock, ordering in new stock, trying to remember that “thing” you said you’d remember - but everything has just added up and your not getting around to doing half of the things you planned to…

You also have the role of managing employees, shifts, staff holidays, training in staff, assisting staff with concerns.

Your trying to get back to client inquiries, answering their questions, follow up messages that are building up in the inbox.

Honestly… the list goes on 😭

On top of all this you're wondering what you should post on your social media.

You come home after a busy day and feel like you still have 101 things to 😰

Realising you forgot to take pictures of your client work that day, throwing up a random photo you have in your camera roll, just so a post goes out! 😬

Don’t feel guilty!

We have all been there (myself included) so I get it..

Let me share with you 3️⃣ things that I do that help me to get on track of planning content!

1. Mark out some time in your calendar 📅 - unless you mark out some time - chances are its not going to get done! This can be once or twice a month and try to do it in the morning (before you see your clients)

2. Plan - don’t just wing it! Think about your ideal client and what their desires are. Write down any ideas /brainstorm for that session and create content around this focusing on the services you offer. Write all your captions in one sitting (helps to speed things up!) In the next sitting then create your graphics or reels. ✍️

3. Schedule things out on meta or your platform of choice!

Now, I hear you.

And yes this does take time! 🕰️

Something that you can do to ensure that you stay consistent with this and bring in new enquiries each month is by hiring a social media manager. Even with allocating time to create, the content creation process can feel overwhelming.
