What an amazing few days on the Camino Finisterre!
I've just finished walking the entire 90km route from Santiago de Compostela to Faro de Finisterre on Spain's Atlantic coast. Although I've walked parts of this Camino before, this was my first time walking every step from start to finish.
It was also my fifth Camino overall, and once again I was reminded why I love these ancient pilgrimage routes so much. Beautiful forests, quiet country lanes, friendly villages, great food, fellow pilgrims from around the world, and finally arriving at Finisterre, once known as "the end of the world."
Of course, I couldn't leave the camera behind! I carried it with me the whole way and captured some of my favourite scenes from the journey. I've shared a few of those photos here.
This walk was also a chance to prepare for the Camino trips I'll be leading in September with the award-winning Ian Taylor Trekking team. I'm delighted that our 16-day Camino Francés & Camino Finisterre trip is already sold out, and there are now just two places remaining on our 9-day Camino Francés trip.
For now, I'm enjoying reliving the experience through these photographs and looking forward to returning to Galicia in September.
The photographs are presented in the order they were captured, following the journey from Santiago de Compostela to Faro de Finisterre.
Have you walked the Camino Finisterre or another Camino route? I'd love to hear about your experience.
